Watch me grow

Hello my dear crafty friends! Today I am going to show you my new spring lo made with my adorable grandson's photos and the most adorable A2Z Scraplets title.

The title was inked with yellow ink, heat embossed with clear embossing powders and then I just doodled over the embossed space with Faber Castell Big Brushes as this is India permanent ink and it can be used over glossy surface. It gives this splattering result and looks artsy and different.
Hope you got some inspiration and see you again!

Using the Brickwall Stencilets & Masklets as a photo mat!

                                            Greetings A2Z Fans!
I hope each of you are having a great day so far!
My LO for today I created a mat for my picture using the
Brickwall Stencilets & Masklets!
For my background on the LO I used distress ink and water.
I used distress ink for the Brickwall too!
Have you tried the Stencilets or Masklets yet?
They are so versatile and can be used for a variety of projects!
The Paisley 43 chipboard come in a pack of two!
To add texture I added modeling paste to the leaves and drew in some line.
For the stems I added glossy accents over the top.
I used Creative Inspirations Paints on the Paisley chipboard.
I have a close up below to show the texture on the leaves.
The butterfly I added washi tape and then added acrylic paint over the top.
For the center of the butterfly I used glitter with fibers called Fairy Dust.
The butterfly chipboard is called Butterfly Stencilets and it come with 6 butterflies and a couple different designs.
I love that this set has 3 different designs in one set!

Birthday Girl

Hi everyone! Today I am back to share a layout that I have created as a Guest Designer for Berry71Bleu this month. The challenge was to use the May Once Upon a Time Sketch Challenge as well as incorporate some chipboard so of course I used some A2Z Scraplets on my page.

I decided to use some 7 Dots Studio Patterned Paper and elements for this layout. To start I have added some texture to a white 12x12 piece of cardstock. To do this, I have used an A2Z Scraplets Masklet with some Viva Decor Pearl Modelling Paste. When this was dry, I have doodled around a couple of the arrows. As you can see, I have used the stencil 2 different ways for a more interesting visual effect.

To decorate the birthday present A2Z Scraplet Chipboard piece, I have used 4 different shades of Perfect Pearls Powder that were all mixed with some Texture Paste. I made the paste really thick so it would create some fun texture on the chipboard. When this was dry, I have inked the top with some Black Archival Ink.

Before I started layering my elements down, I decided I wanted some colour on the background. To do this I have simply splattered some Pink Dylusions Ink as well as some Blue Lindys Stamp Gang Starburst Stain Spray. To create splatters easily, I spray some of the mist into the lid of the bottle and then hold above my page about 30cm and drop. If you want to create a bigger splash go a little further and vice versa.

The Birthday Girl Chipboard title was trimmed to fit my layout better and I have coated the letters with some Pearl Viva Decor Modelling Paste very roughly to create lots of texture. I then inked the top with some Black Archival Ink and moved onto the Cupcake Chipboard piece that I had removed. To decorate this I have simply sprayed some Lindys Stamp Gang Starburst Stain Spray over.

The last chipboard element, the double photo frames, were coated with some of the fabulous 7 Dots Studio co-ordinating papers and then the edges were sanded back roughly. I have also sanded back the edges of all my layers of paper to add some more white distressing but then I decided to ink around the edges of some of the stickers and embellishments with Archival Black Ink to add some more black distressing to the page.

Here are those fabulous A2Z Scraplets products that I have used on this layout. Click on the links to view and purchase on the website :)

Love U Always

Hi everybody! Amy back again to share another quick inspiration layout using some more fabulous A2Z Scraplets chipboard goodies.

To create the layout background, I have mixed some Bombay India Teal Ink with some Texture Paste and then roughly used a stencil to add the Harlequin pattern.

I also decided that I wanted to use the Negative from a Cogs Scraplet pack as a stencil so I have added a couple of those with my Ink and Texture Paste mixture along the edges. Before these had a chance to dry, I have sprinkled some Silver Micro Beads over the top to add a metal effect and I topped them off with some A2Z Scraplets Cog Shapes covered in Dylusions Ink Sprays and Perfect Pearl Mists.

I just love how Julie sends the negatives of so many scraplets with your order it is so cool to be able to get so much use out of one product purchase.

The last step was layering my papers, photo and the fabulous A2Z Scraplets Starburst Shape Small. I have simply sprayed this with some Yellow Perfect Pearls Mist and then slotted it into my layering as I was adhering everything down.

I never pretend to be very good at boy layouts but I think I did my hubby justice on this one. Lots of fabulous colour and sunshine for my man.

Here are those fabulous Scraplets that I have used with links to the website so you can view and purchase. Don't forget that A2Z Scraplets is now selling direct to the public so be sure to order up today and if you can't find what you are after, Julie is always happy to do up custom orders YAY!

The Color Room Palette#151

Hi everybody! I hope you are all well. It's Amy here today to share a recent layout using lots of yummy A2Z Scraplets. Be sure to head on over to the website here and checkout the amazing range of chipboard goodies available at awesome prices!

This layout was created using the current Color Room Palette Colours. Here is the palette and you can check out the Color Room here.

So here was my take on the colours. I decided to scrap some photos of my girls eating icecream on a recent holiday. These photos were taking on my phone using the Instagram app and I just knew the vintage feel to the photos would suit this colour palette perfectly.

On the background I have sprayed and dripped some Glimmer Mists and Lindys Starburst Stain Sprays and quickly dried with my heat gun. I am so lazy and hate waiting for things to dry so I literally have 2 heat guns in my art room LOL.

The patterned papers in the background are from various brands and collection but they just worked well with the colours. Among the strips of paper and washi tape, I have trimmed a piece of A2Z Scraplets Nested Scallop Square and coated it with a layer of Perfect Pearls Powder in blue.

I also wanted to have some swirls popping out everywhere so I have used the A2Z Scraplets Shapes Hearts & Swirls 07 Chipboard piece. To decorate I have sprayed some Simply Jane Cardboard mist and then I have added some Stickles in Lime Green to the little hearts. Aren't they just too cute poking out everywhere?

To checkout these fabulous scraplets on the website and purchase them, be sure to click the images...

Well that is it from me today I hope I have inspired you all and don't forget there is only 5 more days to get your entries into this month's colour challenge. Any shade of blue along with yellow black and white. Click here to see the original challenge blog post.

Until next time, happy scrapping!

More BEAUTIFUL BANNERS!

Today I would like to share these two layouts I did of my son Richard - these photos capture his happy nature so the title LITTLE MR HAPPY was perfect!  These scraplet banners are fun to decorate to match your layout! I also enjoyed making the pinwheels- they are an easy way to create more dimension and interest to your layout.

Here is a close up of the banner.
