Baking with Mummy - Wheat Stencilet Inspiration with Amy Prior

Hi everyone! Amy Prior back today with some super quick fun inspiration using the awesome A2Z Scraplets Wheat Stencilet. Have you seen it on the website yet? Click here to view and purchase it so you too can get creative and recreate this awesome starburst ferny wheat effect.

I was recently on retreat and was given a little mini kit that I was required to use for this layout and I just simply could not help adding lots of fun Amy touches like masking and flowers.

I decided that I wanted to create a doily/sunburst effect using this fabulous A2Z Scraplets Wheat Stencilet along with some Shimmerz Arti Choked Texture Paste. Seriously love this stuff I need it in every colour! LOL

So I have masked the wheat pattern 4 times and I have dried using my heat gun in between each masking so I didn't smudge the patterns as I needed to overlap the mask slightly when turning around each 90 degree angle.

I am so loving this effect and I definately want to try this out with even more layers of the wheat for an intense sunbursted ferny effect LOL. Don't you just love my technical terminology?

So because this was a rushed challenge kit at a retreat, I am not certain what the paper range is called that I have used but I do remember that it is from Crate Paper. As you can see I accidently got texture paste one of the photos which was a major booboo then I tried to remove it and removed some of the photo in the process but alas, technology is wonderful and I can simply reprint and cover over this photo easily. I have not adhered anything to this photo so I could easily cover it up and then voila!

That's it from me today, check back tomorrow for more inspiration with our fabulous Design Team and a new challenge!!!!!!
Until next time, happy scrapping!

Hi ♥ Hej

Hi,
On this page I used the stencilet Cevrons 2 to make the entire background and then just framed it with a blue pattern paper.

I have stamped 2 feathers on the background and a third on paper that I cut out to create some dimension.

The flourish_36 scraplet  I altered using blue ink and two layoers of jeans colored embossing powder.

I also stamped some ballons and added the title Hi [Hej in Swedish]

Whitehaven Beach layout

Hi everyone! Monica here today to share with you another layout using the amazing a2zscraplets. The range of titles are awesome but if you can't find what you are looking for, you can request it or simply edit one like I did! I used the title 'Crazy for You' but changed it to: CRAZY AND FUN LOVING YOU to suit this photo of my son on Whitehaven Beach, Whitsundays. This is paradise - no wonder he's jumping for joy!!!!!

Crazy for You 1 - Word

Here's a close up of the title.

I simply painted the title first in white then sponge painted the blue onto part of it and applied orange chalk to the top half of the word Crazy as the white blended into the background.
I used the Kaisercraft Offshore collection - they complemented the colour of the water and sky so beautifully.

Hope you are joining in the Sketch Challenge for this month; only a few more days to enter!
Till next time, happy scrapping!

Altered Chalk Board Wall Hanging

                                                Happy Saturday!
I love to alter things and when I saw this Owl I knew
I wanted to make a Wall Hanging with it!
For the Owl shape I used the Owl 3. I just love this owl, so adorable!
A2Z has other owls too and many other bird shapes!
To add more texture I used modeling paste and beads.
Below you can see a close up and where the engraved area on the owl I added
the beads below that area. I used CI paint on everything except the yellow inside of the eye.
I used a yellow colored pencil. For the nose I used gelato. After I used black for the eye
I then added a black pearl to the center of the eye too.
For some more texture and color I added the feathers to the wings.
Below I shared what I used to color the Floralette-07.

Here's the close up!

Here's the Floralette-07! You love this Floralette check out all the
other amazing design A2Z has!
I used Creative Inspirations paint on the  Floralette because I love the sparkle.
Once dried I added the black rhinestones. I love how the black and purple looks together!

The adorable shape Owl 3.

I tried to write hi using chalk but I could not get the chalk to blend well enough and I did not have the chalk paint so I decided to add the sticker letters. They can be easily removed to use chalk later.
If you would like a chance to win some amazing A2Z chipboard our sketch challenge doesn't end for a few more day! We would love to see you join us and you do mot have to use A2Z chipboard!
Here's the link to the sketch challenge!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Many Faces of You with Amy Prior

Hi everyone! I am back today with another uber bright and fun layout to share with you all.

For this layout I have used the awesome Large Shape Starburst 2. This is seriously one of my favourite most versatile A2Z Scraplets chipboard goodies in my stash so much so that I have used it half a dozen times in the past year alone!

For this layout I have cut the starburst in half and have mixed some Impasto Medium in with some Teal Heidi Swapp Color Shine Spray and smeared it over the top randomly. Impasto is another type of thicker viscosity medium available in any good art store and it dries almost clear so can be mixed with a variety of acrylic paints etc to achieve fun textured results in tonnes of different ways. Because i have mixed it with the watery liquid Color Shine Spray, the impasto medium was thinned out a lot more than usual so always take that into account when adding various paint products to any type of thickening medium, be mindful of the wateriness always. I could have easily stamped more texture into this when it was still wet but I liked the smeared droopy effect that was created.

I really wanted my sunburst to have a few layers so I have sprayed my background with some Pink Bubblegum Dylusions Ink Spray and added lots of drops here there and everywhere before adding a black coloured paper doily, my teal impasto covered chipboard scraplet and then some gorgeous Flourish with a Bling Pearl Flourishes and a Charms Creations Heart. Isn't is just so fun?

These sunbursts/starbursts are huge in the industry at the moment and I am seriously loving it! Did you know A2Z Scraplets has had this design for ages now? Seriously have you checked out the website properly and had a proper browse. There is so much variety available from A2Z Scraplets it is just crazy to get your chipboard anywhere else. Tell your local scrapbook store to order some in for you today or order direct from A2Z Scraplets yourself. Grab a cup of tea and checkout the website today!
Here is where you will find the stabursts Large as used in my layout above.

That is it from me today, be sure to check back for some more inspiration tomorrow and until next time, happy scrapping!

My kinda take on the sketch

And yep it is a kinda take lol. I had the A2Z Sketch next to me and I DID look at it but sometimes these things happen.

Here is my take:

I created my own background using gesso, mist and gelatos. The stars are from A2Z and come in a pack of 8 and in differnet sizes. I used gesso and gelatos and then outlined in black.

The scraplet title was just inked and embossed.

Here are the scraplets I used:

Here is the sketch:

You have til midnight on the 31st of this month to enter and go into the draw to win scraplets. The entries so far have been awesome!!!

Thanks for looking

G Love

Hi everyone its Kerry here again. I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. I have had a very scrappy weekend and have managed 5 finished layouts so far. But i have also managed to get 8 assignments done as well. Very happy here.

The layout i am going to share with you today is of my DH. We have only been together a couple of years and this is the first picture i have of when we were together. It is a very special picture for me and holds lots of memories which i have journalled on the journalling tag. It is sometimes easy to forget writing all your memories down and be too caught up scrapping the perfect layout.

I have used this gorgeous scraplet heart which i have painted and doodled on.

I am having so much fun playing with these scraplets. Cant wait to show you more.

The fun thing about creating with the Doodlets you can use them in so many
different ways they are so versatile where you can use them on any crafty project!
Did you know A2Z Scraplets carries a variety of doolets in various designs?
Most of them come in 2 packs too! The link is above to view the
other Doodlets designs! Below under the LO is the link to the Doodlet 30 I used.
I wanted my Doodlet to look rustic and worn. I added some white paint randomly
and then I added some brown ink very heavy for a richer color.
Once it was dried I used some black ink on the edges.
Here's the LO!

Here's the close up! Doodlet 30.

Wedding card

I always admire the beautiful cards that are shared by the many talented cardmakers but have never attempted them, till now! My nephew is getting married in South Africa and I had this lovely A2Z scraplet: JUST MARRIED in my stock that was the perfect size for a card and provided the motivation and inspiration so here is the card to share with you today. I added glitter and Kindy Glitz for some sparkle after painting with silver and gold, then finally coated with Dimensional Magic.

 Just Married - GR
Size Approx: 63mm x 91mm

Thanks for viewing and have a great day!
