Special Releases

Hi, Deb here today. I've been enjoying designing some special requests as well as putting together a huge bundle of New Release designs.

This page is a really simple one of my grand-daughter having some fun at the park with our little dog.

The title 'A Girl and her Dog' is just painted in line with the simplicity of the page.

I love how this page turned out and the title, 'A Girl and Her Dogs' is so cute. My little grand-daughter just loves these two and they her.

To color the scraplet I painted it with a thin coat of gesso before using gel pens and a paint marker. The gesso helps keep the color accurate.

I added some 'Chicken Mesh' and a 'Dotted Circles' Frame to the page, adding color, texture and definition.

A bit of bling and a beautiful butterfly added to the 'girly' look of the page.

Thanks for stopping by,
Until next time,
Happy Scrapping

Guest Designer on today

Today we have a guest on the blog - Debbie Ellis. Debbie is an avid scrapbooker and enjoys creating pages of her family, in particular her grandchildren.

On the first page, Debbie has used 'You're a Star' and cut it apart to suit the page. Cutting your scraplets is a great way of making them even more versatile.

I love the way Debbie has used chipboard to add texture and dimension to her pages. She has used the Scraplet 'Dad Dad Dad' as the title for this page.

I'd like to thank Debbie for sharing these pages with us and you'll see a few more over the coming months.

Until next time,

Clever use of titles

Hi, Deb here again sharing another of Yvette McDonald's beautiful pages. I love the way she has used the scraplets, cutting them apart again to suit her project. This is a fantastic idea and shows the versatility of the designs we're putting together.

A Perfect Moment and Ornate Oval Frame have been used to great effect.

The finishes on these chipboards is amazing. Yvette has achieved a metallic look that suits the photo so perfectly. Gesso and metallic paint work wonders as a texture and color finish.

Until next time

shabby circles

bel here today with a photoless page and boys layout.
these pages i made for a challenge for scrap around the world a few months ago.
first up - an inspriational quote page for myself but also advice i would love to be able to
pass onto my children.

and a close up of the cluster
so here are the gorgeous scraplets i used in raw form
(now i used the scraps of this one and by that i mean the in between parts of the circles.)

with the circles i put a layer of gesso on them and then inked over the top lightly so you can see that textured effect, and with the butterfly because she is just so detailed i needed to keep her simple so i inked over the top with a darl brown and then sprayed glimmermist over the top so she just sparkles.

for my next layout i have used the scribble circles and stars

i had to cut the chipboard which is easy to do and please dont be scared of it.
it can help to suit the sketch or to fit on your page better. it also makes it a little more original.
i applied gesso on the scraplet and then sprayed mist over the top.
this was done away from the page.
for the title i simply inked over it a few times to get the boldness of the lettering.

well it was a long one from me today so thanks for looking,
we love seeing your pages so please leave us a link in the comments section or feel free to add a pic to our facebook page.
happy scrapping.

Hi, its Kerry here today sharing a few scrappy pages. I have been working on a few school photos, never the easiest to scrap, in fact i find them quite hard. These are taken from 2 years ago, yes im 2 years behind in my scrapping.

This one is Makaylas first day of school.

I have used the shabby circles. A pack of these goes a long way, great value for money.

Shabby Circles set of 4 Frames

Now haydens turn and he is starting grade 3 in this picture, first day of middle school. I used this cute tag which just made the page.

A proud moment word. Which i have painted. It was a fitting title for the page though to see big brother excited to be looking after his little sister on the first day of school. So happy that they are so close and hope it always stays that way.

Coming up over the next couple of months im going to show you different techniques on how to use your scraplets.

Thanks for reading
Kerry xx

hello.....

Well I have been freezing my butt off here in Tumut. That's when I do venture outside...LOL
Its snowing not far from here again.

So my turn to share with you today.

But first....
How is everyone doing with my challenge this month??
We would love to see some more entries in our gallery. If you have time and would like to get the Mojo flowing...then by all means have a go and don't be shy!!

My first layout is based on Anna's Craftcupboard Monthly Sketch.

I have used this piece:

Scooter Girl

Because I did a boy layout, I have cut off the girls hair to look like a boy. Worked perfectly!!

Here are a couple of close ups:

My next share is a layout which I am the feature for a change and not my family.
We don't often scrap ourselves..

I have used this piece:

Oval Frame

Here are a few close ups:

Well I do hope I have inspired you with a couple of my creations.
