Little girls are angels who haven't yet spread their wings

Hi again.  Today I am sharing with you a layout of my daughter from her birthday 11 years ago now - she was 6 in this photo and I am not too sure where those 11 years have gone.  Certainly only feels like a few years ago...

On this layout I have used the nested circles and a flourish.

I coated all the chipboard with gesso then gave the circles a coat of acrylic paint and covered them with dimensional magic for some sheen.
After coating the flourish with gesso, I painted it with antique white paint, then embossed the leaves and flowers with LSG embossing powder and finished off the stem with some random stamping and a coat of dimensional magic.

I had lots of fun creating this layout based on a layout I found on pinterest.

Until next time,
Yvette x

Halloween (plus 1 random)

Today I have a Halloween post for you all
seeing its just around the corner.
My kids love Halloween, but then again, they love to dress up.
So each year they do a small trick or treat with our neighbours.
But today my page is about my little nephew who joined
in on trick or treating with the kids one year.
Don't you just love this 12x12 sized spider web!!!! Its so effective.
So I have jsut painted it with gesso and then went over the top of that
once dry with a white gelato
The title piece 'Halloween' has also been coloured with Gelatos
I absolutely love the font on this title!
I have just added some random Halloween papers and die cuts
as well as some gauze that I sprayed black for added texture.
I also have another quick share.
For this page I have used a corner piece, piece 20
Yes, I used this piece and simply bent it about and cut in half
till I got the vines I wanted for my flowers!
I left this raw to blend with my cardstock
You can always alter your chipboard to suit your needs.
Happy scrapping and Happy Halloween!

Quick and Simple Cards

Hello Everybody,

Yes you lucky people have Teddy and Lauren on the blog today, how exciting, and we can hear you asking what we have for you today.

Well, let.. me.. tell.. you! We made some cards, quick and simple, easy peasy and still pleasing to the eye!!! Hahahaha Teddy is so funny.  We had our A2Z Scraplets chippies all ready decorated and ready to go, but alas, you know us, we have misplaced them!!!!  AND we have moved so that everything is in Chaos Central (more than usual) and the dies are all still packed away, (Teddy fainted at this point) so we went looking for something that would be suitable for an audience such as you!!!

Yes, I know!! We had to be very inventive, so we got out a couple of those lovely small Paper Pads from Kaisercraft and WHALLA!!! Instant pretty cards!!

TA-DAH!! a pocket card, yes it opens just like a card and you can write inside, the front is just folded down and held with a brad, and the tags are from the pop out die cut sheet in the paper pad.  What a brilliant idea!! So quick and easy and very pretty!!!

So Teddy and I were on a roll so we made another card!!!

This one is from a gorgeous paper pad and is all geometric in mustard, black and white (Teddy's favourite today) called A Touch of Gold.  Two sheets of paper, and several pop out die cuts from the pad and we are done.  Add a little bling of course!!!

Now you see you do not even really need to be an expert paper crafter to make beautiful cards, just cut, pop things out and glue them down and you have stunning cards that anyone would love to receive from you!!!

Hope you like them :)

Hugs  Lauren

Selfies and crazy kids

Hi,

Caz here with you today sharing a couple of layouts of the selfies our kids just love to take.
On this page I have used the A2z scraplets what the circle word

I simply heat embossed the scraplet and embellished using lots of mists and simple embellishments.

A fun way to use a few different images of  those selfies our kids love to take.

This layout I have used the #selfie and the Circle Hash texture shape

Once again lots of mists and simple embellishing to finish it off.

I shall be back with you soon to share some more.
Till then ....

You Are My Sunshine.

Hi everyone, its Kerry here today to share a couple of layouts with you. It is quite a warm day here today makes summer seem so much closer, and its such a nice place to live this time of year, right by the beach.

I loved working with this new release of A2Z scraplets...just awesome. They just keep getting better and better.

These leaves are no exception. I used my inkpad and inked them a lovely soft colour.

And here is my baby girl. She really is my sunshine. We sing this song to each other so this title was perfect.

I painted it black.

Thanks for stopping by and reading....

You are my sunshine

She is really my sunshine.. when she isn't thunder and lightning... LOL.
I used the A2Z Scraplets Chicken wire shape on my artsy background. With gesso, mist and lots of glitter. I cut it up in pieces to make it cover the entire page. The background is FabScraps Elegant Chic collection - never get tired of this.

As a title I used You are my sunshine A2Z Scraplet word and used gold embossing to make it shine.

Supply:

Chasing dreams

Good morning everyone.  What happened to September?  Can't believe how quickly Christmas is approaching.

My layout today was inspired by the moodboard that Scrap the Boys have for their October challenge.  I love the colours and of course was inspired by the dreamcatcher.  Unfortunately I couldn't find a photo of my boy to use :-(

This is the mood board...

Now for my layout....

And some closeups of the amazing dream catcher from A2Z Scraplets...

I gave it a generous coating of gesso, followed by some LSG mist and Shimmerz, along with some brown acrylic paint, then finished it off with some bling.

I hope you have a go at creating something based on this mood board - there is a great A2Z Scraplets prize pack up for grabs!

Until next time, happy crafting.
