Fairies and butterflies

HI all. Donna here with another share for you.
Today I have a page of my Niece, Monique.
I have gone with quite bright colours and for that reason
kept the rest of the page quite simple.
I have used the Leafy round fairy frame to highlight the photo
and I have coloured this completely in Gelatos.
My butterflies are Prima resist canvas ones and I have just sprayed them with
the same Dylusions inks as the background
And finally, just finishing touches of a flair and wood veneer stars.

Happy scrapping

Every kid is a Superstar!

Hi, it's Deb here today with another quite project. Most of the student of the week or school awards get filed for posterity but it's nice to show off one here and there in the children's scrapbooks.

I used one of the Kaisercraft paper ranges Too Cool for School. I love the Collection packs with a choice of papers and the stickers. Kits and Collections are a great way to go when you want to coordinate your papers.

The title - Superstar - is simply coloured yellow.

Materials used
Kaisercraft Too Cool for School Paper Collection
A2Z Scraplet - Too Cool for School
Amy Tangerine Brad
Gel markers.

Carefree Laughter

Good morning, Yvette with you today.  I haven't had a great deal of time to scrap lately.  Unfortunately life has been getting in the way and with Christmas coming so quickly I'm afraid I will have less time to get creative!
The first layout I have for you today uses one of the many awesome A2Z Scraplet chipboard titles that are available here.  I again tried my hand at some mixed media...have to say I don't know if I will ever really take to mixed media.  I never seem to be totally happy with my end result, it never turns out quite like I imagine it in my mind.  Needless to say, every so often I give it a crack again.

Here is a close up of the title that I simply heat embossed with gold embossing powder.

For the Leafy Vine, I also embossed with the gold, but while it was still hot I sprinkled some white over the top randomly.

My next layout is titled "Carefree" and again features my daughter.  So easy to do girly layouts and even easier when your daughter is so photogenic.

For the title with this one I coated it with gesso then to achieve the colour I needed to match with the paper I first spritzed with a mist, but the colour didn't give me the consistency and vibrancy I was after, so I dug out my gelatos and rubbed a combination of a pink and red over the chipboard and ta-da I had the colour I wanted!

The other chippie on this layout is actually called "Pumpkin Vines".  When I was making this layout I thought it looked like rose leaves and a rose bud that went well with the paper I used.  It wasn't until looking up the name of the chippie in the A2Z Scraplets products that I saw what it was called and had a little giggle to myself for being so wrong!  Oh well, I still think they work ok on this layout.  I coated them with white gesso, then painted the leaves and stem green and did the pink "rose bud" the same way I did the title.  I then outlined the "buds" with a green pen and drew the veins onto the leaves for more character.

I guess the fact that I used pumpkin vines as rose leaves and buds shows that so many things are open to your own interpretation providing versatility.

See you next month!
Until then, happy crafting.
Yvette x

Love a Handmade Card

Hello Everybody,

Yes, yes, yes, Lauren and Teddy on the blog today to bring you our latest creations for your viewing pleasure!!!

So we have three cards today for you, all with A2Z Scraplets on them and other pretty things too.  We do love pretty.

This would be our favourite, it is so pretty, using paper from Kaisercraft small pad and covered with mesh ribbon, we used a painted brickwork chippie from A2Z Scraplets across the middle of the card for wonderful dimension, added lace and some bobble trimming.  Then used a Memory Box Grand Heart and La Rue Heart (double layered and embossed with Stampendous Shabby White Embossing Powder).

Some foliage with Memory Box Pine Sprigs cut from a coordinating paper and Memory Box Fabulous Phlox for the flowers.

An angled view gives you an idea of the various textures and the great dimension achieved using the A2Z Scraplets under the heart.  Loads of texture with the chipboard, various fibres and trimmings and of course the Stampendous embossing powder.

So here is another one, in blue with so many stars to match the A2Z Scraplets star flourish.

This card looks so much better in real life, so sparkly and pretty with all the added glitter and stars.  Again a Kaisercraft paper for the background, embossed with a Sizzix Embossing folder and with added texture paste using Memory Box Stencil Stars Starry Night with glitter sprinkled over while wet.  Ribbon, bow and stars added to this.

The A2Z Scraplets Chipboard Star Set of 2 Flourish is embossed with Stampendous Embossing Powder Shabby Blue with two layers of powder (one melted and then more embossing fluid added and more powder added and melted.

And I have saved a good one to last, so pretty in purple with silver and glitter galore!!

Oh yes more pretty paper from Kaisercraft, embossed with the stars and swirls embossing folder from Sizzix and added texture paste using Memory Box Stencil Stars Starry Night with glitter sprinkled over while wet.  Lace and ribbon added and those beautiful stars cut from glitter paper.

This time I have made my own mix of embossing powder for the A2Z Chipboard Star Set of 2 Flourish using Adirondak Eggplant and Wild Plum with silver glitter and some silver and white embossing powders added.  All these powders were just regular size EP and I did not mix them very well, so the finished product has a variant in colour finish.

Hope you like what we have for you today, see you soon!!!

Can't beat a good holiday!

This year for our anniversary we went back to Thailand. We decided we both needed a 'put your feet up' holiday and picked a quiet little spot in Koh Samui. What a delightful place. Among putting our feet up we did take a day trip to the Ang Thong National Marine Park, a beautiful protected part of the paradise of Koh Samui. We kayaked around the bay, snorkelled and hiked up through the hill to see the stunning green lake.

Material Used
Kaisercraft paper and collectables
A2Z Scraplets title
Studio Calico Badge
Oddments of letters and embellishments

I have been trying to get these memories scrapped and keeping the pages simple in order to do so as we have hundreds of photos.

Have you ever thought about sharing your scrapping? We are currently looking for new DT members. Send some samples and a bit about yourself to blog@a2zscraplets.com.au
Closes Dec 15th

Until Next time

A photo is a moment captured

HI everyone.
Today I have a page to share of my son
with our last dog Jack, who passed away in 2014.
They were both good friends
I have used the spiral piece from the Texture pieces set
And of course the title Piece 'A photo is  a moment captured'
I have just embossed with Stampendous embossing enamel in Copper and the
other words have been painted in black.
Thanks for stopping by and happy scrapping
