Magic of Christmas

Hi, It's Deb here. I hope your Christmas has been good and Santa was kind. Some of us have traditions over the Christmas period and this is one of ours.

Today I am sharing a page about the gorgeous Myer Christmas Windows. Each year we try and take the grandchildren down to see them. For this page I have used the Magic of Christmas 3 Word chipboard from A2Z Scraplets. It has been inked and coated with sparkly dimensional magic. The tags are where my journalling is hidden as well as being part of the embellishment of the layout.

Here's a close up of the title.

New Year, New Direction!

Happy New Year!
I hope everyone has had a safe and happy holiday.

We start the new year off with a new direction for A2Z Scraplets. We have two new DT members for you to meet and new stock. We have also made the decision to go RETAIL only as many of our designs are more suited to that market. We will be broadening our destinations titles, the range of materials we cut, working on some mini sets and introducing a range of card size word sets.

Available immediately are the start of our Ebony range - cut from an extremely firm and easy to work with board, these cuts come in black and need no additional embellishing for use. There are some great backgrounds - these wonderful arrows designed by our DT Donna.

Sets of words in colour. Our first introduction of colour is Cardinal and Navy. Again, these need no additional embellishing and are perfect for cards and pages alike. The are cut in a thick board that is again, easy to work with.

The OTP projects will be expanded over the year with the first introduction being a "Marathon Board". This is one example I've been working on - great for holding all those medals for runners or the kids sporting medals.

The calendar kits have proven to be popular for Christmas. These are a great gift either finished or as a project for your crafty family or friends. The website offers a range of designs to choose from. If you would like a more personalized one, contact me for options.

Until next time
Happy Scrapping

Santa Photo

Hi
1 last share from me before Xmas and I have created another
Xmas themed layout, with this years
Santa photo! (yes, already, and I still haven't scrapped
previous years Xmas photos yet)
this layout is all about the stars in the chippie

I coated the whole piece with gesso and while it was wet
I tore pieces of xmas tissue paper up and layered it up over the stars
then just highlighted them with black paint. It was something I thought about
trying and thought this piece might work, and am happy
with the result
Merry Christmas to you all and pop by the blog over the coming weeks for
more inspiration from the team

Yummy!

Long time no scrap! How are you all doing, my lovely A2Zers? Sorry I haven't been around much for the last 5 months, we have had a huge loss in the family. I'm hoping that getting back into my crafting will help the grieving process, so here goes :)

I have created this cute layout of our Master of Mayhem eating some delicious ice cream from Cold Rock using the gorgeous A2Z Scraplet Yummy Shabby Circle in this great set, which I coloured with Tim Holtz markers and Kindy Glitzed the word yummy, and the Off The Wall collection by Kaisercraft. The circles on the background paper were made simply by dipping a jar lid, misting bottle lid, and pencil end into some paint and stamping with them. Easy!

I hope you like it! Until next time, keep calm and craft on!

Snow Globes

HI everyone
Christmas is fast approaching so I have created a little Christmas
layout of my kids with some of their snow globes (we have quite a few!)
I have used minimal embellishments so not to make
it too cluttered with the large  chipboard background.
The background piece is 12x12 triangle
I have just filled a few of the triangles with patterned paper.
I have also added a few small hints of gold.
Merry Christmas and dont forget to keep checking back for more inspiration over the
Christmas period.

A card with a feather and Circles with a Tangled Shape

I am running low on time now that christmas is coming closer, so I took the opportunity to combine three of my DT-assignments making this card. I really like the combination!

For This Project You Will Need:

   FabScraps Serenity C77 collection
Cutting file from Pretty Crafty Stuff (feathers)
   Distress ink
   White embossing powder
Stamp from WOW (Maya Isaksson Design), ink
   White CS

Instructions:
1.     Make a 6x6 card base using the White CS
2.     Cut a 5 ½ x 5 ½ “ piece of the C77 005, Ink the edge using distress ink.
3.    Cut two stripes from the C77 008. Ink the edges and add.
4.     Turn the paper (C77 008)  around  and cut a piece 4 ¼ x 5”. Ink the edges and add onto a thicker piece of paper or cardstock to add dimension. Add
5.     Cut a slightly smaller piece of the C77 006. Ink the edges and add.
6.     Punch a border from the C77 003, ink edges and add.
7.     Punch, cut or die cut a feather from the C77 003. Ink the edges and add.
8.    Emboss the chipboard using a white embossing powder and add.
9.     Cut out the butterflies and bird in circles from the MC77 001A and add onto the chipboard.
10.  Stamp a sentiment, cut out in a banner shape, add some color and ink the edges. Shape it against your fingers. Add.
11. Write a greeting inside and send to a dear friend!
