Small moments, Big memories

Hi, Donna here with this leafy share.
I have used this amazing 12x12 background piece
full of leaves.
Because of the busy background, I left
For the leaves in the background, I painted some of them and then I covered
some of them with different patterned papers.
The only other embellishments used were the neutral
coloured flowers. I didnt want it overcrowded.

"A work of heart" Scrapbook Layout by Louise

Hi Crafters

Here to share a new scrapbook layout with you

"A work of heart"

On this page I've used the "A Work of Heart" chipboard

I've colored it with black ink and then painted on Colour Blast Shimmer Spray "Bling" for that lovely gold shimmer.
Then I've painted the heart with red water colour to help it lift off the page.

To decorate the rest of my page, I chose to use blue and red as they were the colours in the photos.
I've used Colour Blast paste in "Just Blue" through a stencil and added minimal embellishments.

Finally I've done some journalling - Very important, don't forget to right the story.

Thanks for visiting.
Happy Scrapping.

Wine Time

Ahhhhh my favourite time of the day.....Wine Time!!!
Thanks for stopping by the blog today.
This photo was from our girls weekend away in beautiful Queenstown.
I took my colour inspiration from the green ribbon on the hats we found in the bar.
How could be not wear them for a photo!!!

In this layout I have used one of my favourite chipboard pieces (yeah I know I say
that a lot....  but I do have quite a few favourite chipboard pieces!!) The Brick Work pieces
have been coloured with Tim Holtz Distress Crayons. I apply the crayon to the
chipboard and then rub it and spread it with my finger to cover the chipboard evenly.

The Wine Time chipboard title has been coated with black paint.
Debra asked the design team what chipboard pieces we would like her to make. Titles with
the word wine in them were popular between many of us. If there is a chipboard piece that
you would like to see, please message Deb and she will see what she can custom make for you.

Life Is A Journer - Canvas by Brenda Caldow

Hello crafty friends and welcome to the A2Z Scraplets Blog. Today I would like to share a canvas I have created using three chippies.

To start my canvas I first painted it with Black GessoOnce it was dry I then used Modeling Paste with a Diamond Stencil. Once it was where I wanted it I then dried it with a heat gun.

Then I picked my chipboard and placed them in the positions I wanted except for the feather.
Once glued where I wanted them I then Black Gesso everything again. When I dried it with the heat gun this time I made sure I used some extra heat where the stencil was to allow it to bubble up.

Once this was done it was time to colour things.  To do this I chose to use my new Prima Colour Waxes. I used a mix of colours and a dry brush to do them. I applied it to the texture paste diamonds and also the chipboard.

Once this was done it time to distress my photo and mount it. I chose a purple colour to match in with the waxes. I then put it where I wanted on my canvas. I then placed on some Little Birdie paper flowers at two corners of my photo.

The next and final step was to colour my feather dangle. For this I chose to use DecoArt Metallic Lustre and Prima Sparks Acrylic paint. For this I applied it with a pint brush. Once this was done itt was time to place it on my canvas.

As you can see by the next closeups to follow my canvas was finished.

I hope you have enjoyed popping in to see my latest creation. Please keep scrolling to see what the rest of the team have been up to and don't forget to hop on over to our facebook page and join in with our challenge this month.

You are my reason to smile - Karen McLaughlin

Karen here with my take on this month's challenge.  It is a colour board picture from which you need to take some inspiration and make a page using the colours provided or to take something from the image.  There are just a few days left to get your entries in.  I have used the beautiful Butterflies Page Frame.  I have painted it black and added kindy glitz and glossy accents.  For my title - You are my reason to smile - such a great title.   Looking forward to seeing all the entries this month.

Go Strikers

Yay!!! It's the weekend, I hope you are having a good one.

Today I am sharing a cricket inspired page, with a photo taken while watching the Adelaide Strikers at a Twenty20 game.

This is another page where 'too much paint is never enough' - It is so much fun slopping paint around.

I have used one of my A2Z Scraplets favourites - the brick panel pieces. As always I chop them to size and just tuck a tiny piece under the photo.

I have painted the chipboard with Dylusions tangerine dream paint. Because I did not prime the chippie with gesso, the bright orange became a dark rusty orange, perfect for brick panelling.

The brick panel can be found in SHAPES - Cogs/Steampunk - Brick work pieces set of 4

Thanks for stopping by - enjoy your day!
