Get down and Grungey with A2Z Scraplets!

Hi everyone! Amy Prior here today to share a fabulous gift that I have created for Fathers Day. Yes yes it is a while away but Fathers Day in the US was this month LOL.

First off I started with a tin. This cute little tin used to be full of gorgeous Prima Flowers and it had Prima stickers all over it. Now I love Prima but the stickers just had to go and I was left with an empty shell ready to be Scrappified. Is that a word? We'll go with it...

So next up I need to get myself some Scraplets. A2Z Scraplets has a ridiculous range of Masculine Chipboard but luckily I had some perfect pieces in my stash ready to use....

So first things first. I needed to adhere everything down to my container.

The lid had a piece of Burlap added before layers of A2Z Scraplets Cogs were added along with some Metal Gears and a random Star I found. The letters were Thickers that I just placed on there too. It was super easy because I did not need to worry about colours etc because I was going to cover it all.

Once all the bits were stuck on the top of the lid, I stuck the Ngaire's Barbed Wire around the edges of the lid. Now because the bottom of the container is round, I had to play with the chipboard a bit first so it was more round than flat and then it adhered perfectly.

Once everything was glued and dry, I have used a coarse paintbrush to coat the entire container and lid with Black Gesso. Then, once the Gesso dried, the fun really began!

I used a variety of WOW Embossing Powders to decorate the rest. Mainly Ultra High Gold & Copper but some regular colours too including Bay Area Blue & Pepper. Every angle you look at shows more texture and treasure it is sooo cool and this fabulous creation will be on display at Summer CHA next month WOOHOO!

To fill the container, I created some coupons on my computer and then cut and adhered to Die Cut Scalloped pieces of Cardstock. A few additional bits of Embossing Powder on the edges finished this beauty off.

You can click the images to see them larger and see more of the details.

Before I go, I have to mention the awesome Blog Hop we have coming up on the 1st July at 8.30am!!!! You will not want to miss out on this one and be sure to tell your crafty friends to be here too..

Until next time....happy scrapping!

Great artwork, and although we're a bit low on the 'manly' part of the family, I will keep this in mind!
    Thanks for sharing.

  3. Thanks Monica & Anja! I am actually thinking of recreating a DIVA one for me with Black, Hot Pink & Silvers because I have enough Scraplets left from the packs. I have to find another tin but LOL
