Gorgeous Cards

Hello Everybody,

Yes you have Lauren and Teddy on the blog today and the weather has turned to Winter for our Birthday month (yes you can send pressies to us) :)

So here we have a couple of cards for you, very pretty ones with flowers and things on them.

This one has used one of the A2Z Scraplets Umbrellas with Stampendous Embossing Powder, Shabby White then stamped with a script stamp with StazOn Ink and reheated to smudge it a bit.

All the usual embellishments from me, seam binding, lace, flowers and pearls.

The second card is all frills and things as well.

We started with a template and green for the new Leafy Template, then a doily die, the lace and ribbon.

The brickwall is painted with white.  the butterfly swirls is coloured with Tombo Dual Tipped Pens and then coated with Ranger Distress Crackle Paint, Rock Candy.  I love the crackle look.

Flowers were added and some stamen pieces and the word gorgeous was painted black and coated with Glossy Accents.

For those of you who have not met Teddy, here he is scrapbooking with friends :)  He is my sidekick and mentor and keeps me crafting on :)

Special Birthday Cards

Hello Everyone!!!

Lauren and Teddy on the job today with a couple of you beaut milestone celebrating Birthday Cards for your viewing pleasure, errrr, ummm, for your inspiration and ideas for using A2Z Scraplets :)

We started with a 5x5 inch panel in cream and did some texture stamping over it and also some DTP inking, then put some mesh tape down the left side and across the bottom, then freehand pen line around the edge.  The rest is just embellishment build up, starting with the leaves and then the doily.  Then finishing with a painted 18th Birthday in Ebony from A2Z Scraplets

This one is with a plain 5 x 5 panel, with an inked die cut, the stamped and layered cake and background making a pocket for the tiny tags and the ribbon treatment and bow.  Finished again with a wonderful chippie 21st Birthday A2Z Scraplet.

Hope you get some ideas from here.

Love Lauren xxxx

Layers, Depth and Texture

Hi there!!

Teddy and Lauren with you today with a little something that might inspire you and motivate us to make some more for you!!

So we made you a card, how clever we are!!!

Oh this one is just packed full of goodies and is so pretty, in my favourite colours of natural with a background of Kaisercraft paper, the lace and ribbon, the lovely Catalina Wreath and Catalina Border from Memory Box Dies, A2Z Scraplets Chipboard Brick Background and A2Z Scraplets Dream word.  Finished with pearls (love my bling) and then Sugar Beads (mix of various seed beads and micro beads), just stunning.

Just loving the way the word turned out, coloured with Tombow Pen in Black and then coated with Glossy Accents (I love the way that stuff will keep its dimension while drying)

Loving that brickwork as a base to my die cut border, gives such a great feel of layering and texture, love to have different textures working together.

The die cuts have been done in three different colours and then slightly offset to give a great feeling of depth to them.  I like using this technique to really make the die cuts pop.

And just a tease to show the beads, just sprinkled over Glossy Accents where wanted and they look fantastic!!

Hope you like these effects as much as we do!!!

Love from Lauren and Teddy!!!! xxxx

So you can see we have used lots of flowers and foliage and the lovely Darla and Vivienne Butterflies and the smaller Isabella and Pippi Butterflies from MemoryBox.  This would be out favourite shape in butterfly and we do seem to have a plenty of different ones!!!

Well we could not just leave it at one card, we have been spoiling you with a couple of cards, so here is our other one, pretty, and simple too for us.

This one is simple with the lovely Catalina Wreath from Memory Box over a stamped image on a circle.  Sweet and embellished with adhesive pearls.  We did have to used our ribbon treatment and bow, it seems to be our signature, and if you want to learn it, head over to our YouTube Channel and have a watch of the video, then you can be as expert as Teddy.

Love a Handmade Card

Hello Everybody,

Yes, yes, yes, Lauren and Teddy on the blog today to bring you our latest creations for your viewing pleasure!!!

So we have three cards today for you, all with A2Z Scraplets on them and other pretty things too.  We do love pretty.

This would be our favourite, it is so pretty, using paper from Kaisercraft small pad and covered with mesh ribbon, we used a painted brickwork chippie from A2Z Scraplets across the middle of the card for wonderful dimension, added lace and some bobble trimming.  Then used a Memory Box Grand Heart and La Rue Heart (double layered and embossed with Stampendous Shabby White Embossing Powder).

Some foliage with Memory Box Pine Sprigs cut from a coordinating paper and Memory Box Fabulous Phlox for the flowers.

An angled view gives you an idea of the various textures and the great dimension achieved using the A2Z Scraplets under the heart.  Loads of texture with the chipboard, various fibres and trimmings and of course the Stampendous embossing powder.

So here is another one, in blue with so many stars to match the A2Z Scraplets star flourish.

This card looks so much better in real life, so sparkly and pretty with all the added glitter and stars.  Again a Kaisercraft paper for the background, embossed with a Sizzix Embossing folder and with added texture paste using Memory Box Stencil Stars Starry Night with glitter sprinkled over while wet.  Ribbon, bow and stars added to this.

The A2Z Scraplets Chipboard Star Set of 2 Flourish is embossed with Stampendous Embossing Powder Shabby Blue with two layers of powder (one melted and then more embossing fluid added and more powder added and melted.

And I have saved a good one to last, so pretty in purple with silver and glitter galore!!

Oh yes more pretty paper from Kaisercraft, embossed with the stars and swirls embossing folder from Sizzix and added texture paste using Memory Box Stencil Stars Starry Night with glitter sprinkled over while wet.  Lace and ribbon added and those beautiful stars cut from glitter paper.

This time I have made my own mix of embossing powder for the A2Z Chipboard Star Set of 2 Flourish using Adirondak Eggplant and Wild Plum with silver glitter and some silver and white embossing powders added.  All these powders were just regular size EP and I did not mix them very well, so the finished product has a variant in colour finish.

Hope you like what we have for you today, see you soon!!!

Quick and Simple Cards

Hello Everybody,

Yes you lucky people have Teddy and Lauren on the blog today, how exciting, and we can hear you asking what we have for you today.

Well, let.. me.. tell.. you! We made some cards, quick and simple, easy peasy and still pleasing to the eye!!! Hahahaha Teddy is so funny.  We had our A2Z Scraplets chippies all ready decorated and ready to go, but alas, you know us, we have misplaced them!!!!  AND we have moved so that everything is in Chaos Central (more than usual) and the dies are all still packed away, (Teddy fainted at this point) so we went looking for something that would be suitable for an audience such as you!!!

Yes, I know!! We had to be very inventive, so we got out a couple of those lovely small Paper Pads from Kaisercraft and WHALLA!!! Instant pretty cards!!

TA-DAH!! a pocket card, yes it opens just like a card and you can write inside, the front is just folded down and held with a brad, and the tags are from the pop out die cut sheet in the paper pad.  What a brilliant idea!! So quick and easy and very pretty!!!

So Teddy and I were on a roll so we made another card!!!

This one is from a gorgeous paper pad and is all geometric in mustard, black and white (Teddy's favourite today) called A Touch of Gold.  Two sheets of paper, and several pop out die cuts from the pad and we are done.  Add a little bling of course!!!

Now you see you do not even really need to be an expert paper crafter to make beautiful cards, just cut, pop things out and glue them down and you have stunning cards that anyone would love to receive from you!!!

Hope you like them :)

Hugs  Lauren

Special Occasion Cards

Hello Everybody,

Lauren and Teddy up on the blog today and we are going to show you a couple of cards with mobs of flowers and are made especially for special occasions.

So these are the cards that I made just for you to get some inspiration from.  I hope you like them.

Ohhhhh...... This one is Teddy's favourite, a Cascading Z Fold Card we think, with a die cut lace border at the top (cut with Kaiser Lacey Borders) and all panels covered with patterned paper and some doilies.  The flat flowers, the tags and the sentiment come from packs of Kaiser Collectables, such fast embellishing with no effort.

I have added 3D roses and cherry blossoms (because I love them so much) and ribbon right across the bottom of the card.  All finished with flat back pearls and Ranger Ice Stickles.

Love the tags (dressed up with flowers and ribbons) and the sentiment piece from the Kaiser Collectables.  So easy, so quick.  No mess from stamping if you are not so confident too.

Oh and the second card is one I have been dreaming of for a long time and Deb created the Chipboard Sentiment for me, love it.

I have used a 5"x5" card base and cut a piece of Kaiser Paper Pad cut to size and torn top and bottom, then stitched around including tears.  This is then attached to the card and the tears are rolled open.  I have done a few stencil leaves over the base.  The three chipboard pieces, the Two Becomes One and the Vine Flourish (cut in half for the two corners) have been embossed with Stampendous Shabby White (love that stuff, so pretty), and then glued to the card.

Then I have rolled the tears more and filled the space with pearl beads of different sizes.  Added 3D roses and cherry blossoms to the chipboard swirl on the two corners.  The flowers are all touched with Ranger Ice Stickles.

This last photo gives a closer photo of the embossed flourish and the pearls in the paper tear as well as the Ice Stickles on the flowers.

Oh yes I love pretty, oh so pretty.

Hope you like today's effort and get some ideas from them.

Thanks Lauren
