"I am Woman" April challenge layout by Louise

Louise with you today.

Here is my take on the April moodboard challenge "I am woman"

How cute is this month's moodboard?

Now if you are looking at it and thinking it's tricky ... don't worry - I thought the same.

But I broke it down into the main areas that I noticed first.

1. Wood!

2. Pattern

3. Turquoise

I've used Flourish 81 as part of my cluster.

Firstly I gave it a coat of white gesso and then coloured with various Distress Crayons.

The gesso helps them smudge and blend together.

For my title, I've chosen the I am Woman word.

To help it stand out on my page, I've used "Bling" embossing powder from Colour Blast.

To embellish the page, I've chosen some stickers and flowers.

My background features Colour Blast paste in "Envy"

Memories are Forever

Hello.......Tanya here to share my layout for this months A2Z Scraplets challenge.

I chose to use the neutral tones and I liked the chevron design on the rug which I used 

as my background paper. I also chose this photo with my mum and kids sitting on the couch 

playing musical instruments as there is the couch in the inspiration picture. 

Hopefully you can find time to join in with our challenge. We'd love to see what you 

take out of the inspiration layout.

The Memories are Forever title has been painted with Antique Bronze distress paint as has the heart chipboard. This piece is a new release. I have glued some prills onto the hearts to add some dimension.

Hoping you all had a great Easter.

In celebration, I have a layout using A2Z Scraplets frame 105,  flourish 14, and Harlequin of 3 set

I built up the background to my layout using flowers, leaves, a variety of papers, metal embellishments, art stones, fibres, paint and die cuts.

My A2Z Scraplets were painted then coated in fine glitter. You can find these in the shop here.

 

I used one of the harlequin pieces, cutting it in two and then I placed these at the back. I centered the flourish with the frame.

April is the start of another month and a new challenge over on the facebook page.

Our Family - by Brenda Caldow

Hello crafty friends and welcome to the A2Z Scraplets Blog and my Monday post. I would like to share with you a page of my wonderful friend Jen and her beautiful family. I have used three great A2Z chippies on this page and also the beautiful Little Birdie flowers which are also in store. I have used the April challenge for my inspiration. Here is the challenge. 

The inspiration I found in this picture was the "family" room, green and the light shade of pink.

Now for my page. 

For all three of the chippies I have used Dylusions Paint and then a touch of Pebec Studio Acrylic Paint (High viscosity Iridescent). Because I used so much patterned paper and the beautiful Little Birdie flower pack I felt if I did anything more to the chippies they would be lost in the page. I think this is always something to keep in mind when creating pages that each thing you use is noticeable but at the some time working together as one. Not forgetting to make the photo you are using as the focal point, I think I have created that.

Love of my Life - Karen McLaughlin

Hi A2Z Fans - Karen with you today showing you a lovely couple of chipboard pieces.  First up are the feathers.  They come in a pack of 4 so are great value.  The second is this lovely flourish called the Doodlet 29.  This would also be a great flourish in a corner.  Then the third piece is the title - Love of my Life.  Well I hope I have given you some inspiration to pop over to the shop and take a peek at all the great stock A2Z Scraplets have on offer.  Thanks for looking and I hope you have a great week.
