New Designs released today ......

Woohoo, we've all been working hard here at A2Z Scraplets and I'd like to say a huge thank you to the DT girls - Belinda, Bel, Monica, Kylie, Petra, Tracey, Kerry and Carolyn. These wonderful ladies not only create stunning projects, showcasing their lives and family's memories but have been tremendous support during the changeover. They've also been the inspiration behind many designs (many are still on the drawing board) and I know you will enjoy seeing their upcoming work using the new designs.

For now you'll have to put up with one of my pages. A very simple one using the new 'a proud moment" somewhat tongue in cheek and the "bird on a barb wire".

Both chipboard pieces have simple been inked with the barb wire having a distressed look added.

Other elements used are Kaiser Basecoat papers, Paper Loft card and a ticket stamp. It's simple, inexpensive and states the events of the day.

You'll only find our new range of chipboards in your local scrapbook store or online shop. Ask them about getting them in for you.

Remember to go over and "Like" our facebook page A2Z Scraplets to go into the draw for a parcel of chipboards.

Happy Scrapping

A CHRISTMAS LAYOUT

Christmas is one of my favourite themes to scrapbook.
I'm sure you have many photos that you took over the festive season that need to be scrapbooked. My Christmas 2013 photos still need to be printed but I still had some layouts to do for my sons' childhood albums. With sons all grown up now, it is always a very sweet trip done memory lane for me:)
These photos are of my eldest son when he was four participating in his Nursery School play. I remember the pride we felt watching him sing on stage with his classmates.
With our January challenge in mind, I decided to do something new/different - cut all 3 photos into shapes: 2 circles and 1 oval. This certainly challenged me as I like to scrapbook ONE photo and that is either a 5x7 or 6x8. I played around a lot before I came up with something I liked!!

Looking forward to seeing your entries!
You have till the end of January to enter.
                                                                     Happy scrapping,
                                                                             Monica

LILMISS SUNSHINE

Hi everyone and welcome to the A2Z blog. After scrapbooking so many photos of my sons' childhood days, I decided to scrapbook some of mine too!
I have used the lovely title Lil Miss Sunshine and shapes; corner 01 and a butterfly from the Li'l range shapes to embellish.

A few close ups.....

I inked the title then doodled around the edges with a black pen, finally covering with Dimensional Magic.

The butterfly was inked and painted, then I added a few pearls and Dimensional Magic.

BRICK WALL

Hi everyone and thanks for visiting A2Z blog today. This photo was taken on one of our visits to Dream World on the Gold Coast- these were always fun-filled days and a very popular family outing for our boys....also a great opportunity for photos! The brick wall scraplet matched the photo really well and I decided to leave the chipboard raw as it toned in with the colours of my layout. I also added a couple of cogs as embellishments and used the title Up2Mischief which I painted and then doodled in white on part of it to highlight it against the darker background.

Shapes - Brick Wall

Then a photo of my dearest Dad on one of his visits to us - just loved this title for these photos and layout! I outlined the chef's hat and covered with flocking.

King of the BBQ - Word

Finally a layout of my youngest son with his 2 sisters-in law celebrating their birthdays which are in the same week in September. HAPPINESS is a perfect description!

Have a great day and week!

Whitehaven Beach layout

Hi everyone! Monica here today to share with you another layout using the amazing a2zscraplets. The range of titles are awesome but if you can't find what you are looking for, you can request it or simply edit one like I did! I used the title 'Crazy for You' but changed it to: CRAZY AND FUN LOVING YOU to suit this photo of my son on Whitehaven Beach, Whitsundays. This is paradise - no wonder he's jumping for joy!!!!!

Crazy for You 1 - Word

Here's a close up of the title.

I simply painted the title first in white then sponge painted the blue onto part of it and applied orange chalk to the top half of the word Crazy as the white blended into the background.
I used the Kaisercraft Offshore collection - they complemented the colour of the water and sky so beautifully.

Hope you are joining in the Sketch Challenge for this month; only a few more days to enter!
Till next time, happy scrapping!

Wedding card

I always admire the beautiful cards that are shared by the many talented cardmakers but have never attempted them, till now! My nephew is getting married in South Africa and I had this lovely A2Z scraplet: JUST MARRIED in my stock that was the perfect size for a card and provided the motivation and inspiration so here is the card to share with you today. I added glitter and Kindy Glitz for some sparkle after painting with silver and gold, then finally coated with Dimensional Magic.

GOLF layout

Holidays always provide me with many photos to scrapbook. I've been going through the archives finding photos for my sons' childhood albums and found this photo which was taken back in 1991 when we enjoyed a family holiday at Rustenburg Kloof Resort in South Africa. I've had the GOLF title for a long time ( too long !!!) and this gave me the opportunity to use it.....just had to add the word mini in alphas and it was perfect!

The title was painted first with Kaisercraft Mango Orange, then I dabbed white paint here and there and finally inked with Yellow Ochre. I used silver paint on the stick, drew black lines on the top part and painted white on the golf ball.

Golf - Word

Thanks for visiting the blog today and if you would like a chance to win some A2Z chipboard then enter our monthly challenges. There are great prizes to be won!
Happy scrapping!
