Scrapbooking your heritage

Hi Deb here with you again. Today I'm sharing a couple of pages, the first being a heritage style. I am fortunate enough to have know the past generations of my family and have great memories of them. This first page is a great aunt who lived to a great age of 108! That meant I had her in my life for 40 years, a great feat in itself.

 I used the set of Clock Hands to make a corner, inking them with a pink pigment ink and adding a touch of metallic pigment ink as highlights. This gave it an aged look.

 I used the same technique on the Steampunk Heart which I felt suited the style and era of the photo.

My second page is a little bit newer photo - my two youngest at the football in Melbourne. This is a very simple layout but a great memory from a wonderful time in life.

On this page I used the title Footy Fan and coloured it with chalks. Finishing it off with an outline. You will need to spray a fixative on your chalked pieces to avoid them rubbing off if handled.

I also used one of the football players from the set of Footballers. Again colouring it with chalks and a pen outline.

Scrapbooking Your Memories

Do you have a pile of photos that are waiting "to be done?" Mine is huge and I'm not sure I'll ever get through it but the journey is enjoyable. I have pulled out an older photo from my daughter's Pre-School days.

In this photo we were at the famous Beechworth Bakery and the kids made their own biscuits. I have used the word #cookingupastorm from the set of Hashtag Travel Set Wordlets.

Here's a close up of the finish on the Scraplet. I inked the chipboard with chalk ink first and then gave it a coat of Opalite ink. 

Each month A2Z Scraplets are releasing dozens of new designs catering for all facets of scrapbooking. There are chipboards simple titles to the more accessory styled design.

It's time to meet me - A2Z Scraplets new owner - *Deb*. I'm a mum and step-mum of 8 (2 still at school), grandmother of 6 and some. We have 2 dogs, 2 guinea pigs and one very spoilt cat.  With the growing number of grandchildren, the A2Z Scraplet Pregnant Mumma is the perfect piece to show their ultrasound photos. Techniques for decorating the chipboards are simple inking with chalk inks, flocking and crackle paint.

My last share is a fun one using the title "We're a wacky bunch" which is pretty apt for our household. Painted and outlined - chipboards are really simple to decorate and embellish a page.
