Summer Family Fun by Anne

This is  my first post with A2Z Scraplets. I’m very excited and proud to be a member of the design team using this great chipboard.  Today I would like to  share with you my layout for this month's challenge. I’m sure you can tell I  just love the summer bright colors from this month’s mood board.

The background to  my layout was made with a  splattering of  acrylic paint in bright colors.

I used the chipboard word Family as my title and gave it a coating with  purple acrylic paint. I then splattered the chipboard with orange and lime green acrylic paint before finishing with a coating of Glossy Accents.  

Along with cardstock die cuts and colored gauze I added a couple of wood veneer pieces, faceted rhinestones and sequins to add bling to my already bright page.

Caz here with you today sharing my 3 favourite layouts for 2015 that I created for A2z scraplets.

This layout was so fun to work with I just heat embossed all the A2z scraplets with embossing powders.

This layout was so fun to work with some texture paste with a bit of mist sprayed into it and mixed through for the background. The frame and LOVE was just coated with Perfect pearls and the rest painted and written on. It was also published in Scrapbooking memories volume 18 number 7.

This A2z scraplet was simply painted with Kaisercraft paint. Simple but pretty.

Birthday Calendars are back!

You've asked and we've delivered. Our family calendars are back in stock. These are available both retail and wholesale now. We've redesigned the kits slightly and the title, months and discs are now made from 1.8mm chipboard. The header board is mdf which won't warp or split as ply can do. Simply paint, paper and embellish to suit yourself and you'll never forget a birthday or anniversary again. These kits make fabulous gifts decorated or un-decorated for the crafty recipient. They are also simple enough for kids and great for craft classes.

Scrapbooking your heritage

Hi Deb here with you again. Today I'm sharing a couple of pages, the first being a heritage style. I am fortunate enough to have know the past generations of my family and have great memories of them. This first page is a great aunt who lived to a great age of 108! That meant I had her in my life for 40 years, a great feat in itself.

 I used the set of Clock Hands to make a corner, inking them with a pink pigment ink and adding a touch of metallic pigment ink as highlights. This gave it an aged look.

 I used the same technique on the Steampunk Heart which I felt suited the style and era of the photo.

My second page is a little bit newer photo - my two youngest at the football in Melbourne. This is a very simple layout but a great memory from a wonderful time in life.

On this page I used the title Footy Fan and coloured it with chalks. Finishing it off with an outline. You will need to spray a fixative on your chalked pieces to avoid them rubbing off if handled.

I also used one of the football players from the set of Footballers. Again colouring it with chalks and a pen outline.

White Tigers in chipboard...

Whether or not these beautiful big cats will be around for my family's coming generations is unknown. However, scrapbooking our photos preserves the memories of the things we have seen in our lives.

I have used a couple of chipboards on this page - Chicken Mesh and Engraved Tiger. 

The close up of the tiger shows the finish achieved by using paint dabbers to color the very detailed engraving on the chipboard.

The Chicken Mesh again, has been simply painted with a white dabber paint.

Hi fellow Crafters

I am back today to share with you a couple of pages I have made using some lovely scraplets. The first is using the lovely title "The eyes are the windows to our soul"

 With the Love polaroid frame I just misted the outer part of the frame and added some texture paste to the hearts to give it a slight grungy look.

Here comes trouble

Hi *Deb* here. 

There's one in every family! The title Scraplet "Here comes Trouble" is so right for this child. The chipboard has been inked and heat embossed using some rustic embossing powders.

 Some texture was added using hand stitching which I kept 'chunky' to tie in with the 'roughness' of the page style. Chicken wire die cut from metal sheeting and colored with alcohol pens added a bit more dimension.

Magic of Christmas

I've pulled out a few photos from past Christmases to work on lately and thought I'd share this one with you. Each year my husband and I go to Melbourne to see the Myer Christmas windows and the Nutcracker was a beautiful display. 

I've used two Scraplets on this page Magic of Christmas and a frame (9). The title has been painted white and then given a coat of Dimensional Magic with a light sprinkling of fine iridescent glitter over it and then allowed to dry. 

I used a slightly different finish on the frame. Again it was painted white and then a layer of Tim Holtz Rock Candy Crackle paint was applied. Before this dried I dusted it lightly with the same glitter. When dry the edges and a little into the cracks was brushed with grey chalk ink.

Beautiful Reflections

Caz here with you today to share a LO I created using the Beautiful reflections Title scraplet.
