"The best day" Scrapbook layout by Louise

Hi Crafters

Here to share a new scrapbook layout "The best day"

This page features two chippies.
First the Leafy Stems

I decided to colour them with my Distress Crayons, so first they got a coat of white gesso.

Then with my chosen colours, I draw on the leaf and smudge the colour with my fingers.

Repeating the process with different greens.

Finally, just to bring everything together, I added a touch of green glitter paste.

I love how they look, tucked into the flower cluster.

I've also used the Picture Frame 15
Covering it with Nuvo embossing powder which has a gorgeous glitter element.

I love how cute this photo is of my boys at Dreamworld.
So simple to put together with a easy torn paper background and lots of A2Z Scraplets Chipboard elements.

Thanks for visiting.

"xoxoxo" Scrapbook layout by Louise

Hi Crafters

On this day in Australia we remember all those who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations and the contribution and suffering of all those who served.

Image result for anzac day

***

Today's project is not Anzac themed, but I hope you will still enjoy it.

My layout "xoxoxo"

Not only am I stash busting my way through 2018, but I'm getting through some photos too.
This is an oldie and not a particularly clear photo but I really wanted to record it.
I chose colours reflecting the photo - navy, blue and white.

Cooper loves to tell Pop stories so I thought the "xoxoxo" chipboard word would make a great title.

I gave it a coat of white gesso, coloured with Distress Crayons and then sealed with Colour Blast "Snow White" embossing powder.

As the page was developing and I was creating layers, I added the
Chipboard Frame
simply covered with Colour Blast "Steel" embossing powder

Background featuring Colour Blast sprays.
The rest of the page features some paper layering and stickers.

Thanks for visiting.

"So happy together" scrapbook layout by Louise

Hi Crafters

Time to share a new layout "So happy together"

So 2018 has seen me focus on stash busting instead of "shopping" for new supplies.
I am loving the challenge of creating with items already available to me.

Behind the photo you'll see the circular piece of black and white.
This is actually a centre piece of chipboard left overs that I've covered with washi tape and paper strips.

To title this page, I've used the "So happy together" word

Firstly I've applied a coat of Colour Blast Embossing Powder "Just Blue".
Then I've masked the "So happy" words with washi tape before painting "together" with gel medium.
While the gel medium is still sticky, I've sprinkled the whole word with glitter.

Other elements on the page are a Charm's Creation star, Colour Blast paste and lots of paper layers.

Thanks for visiting.

"# Cool" Scrapbook layout by Louise

Hi Crafters

"# Cool"

For this page I've used my chipboard in a couple of different ways.

You'll need the Flourish 79

Firstly I've created my background with papers and given the whole thing a coat of clear gesso.
Remove the chipboard piece from the frame and use the empty frame to spray Colour Blast spray in "Rainforest" through it.
Once dry I've used the same empty frame as a stencil, tracing the leaves with a black pen.

The flourish itself has various coats of Colour Blast embossing powder in "Apple of my eye" and "Envy".
You don't need to be too particular about the coverage.
It looks more natural when it's a little rough.

I've used flowers and embellishments to help the page flow from the top left to the bottom right.

"2017" A scrapbook layout by Louise

Hi Crafters

Today's share is a layout I've titled "2017"

is such a lovely chipboard piece but I didn't want to use it!

Eventually I decided to use it with this photo of DH and I.

I've treated it with a coat of gesso, followed by colouring with Distress Crayons.
Lastly, to seal the colour I've added a coat of Colour Blast "Snow White" to give it a little pop of sparkle.

I've cut the chippie diagonally and used it in two areas of the page.
Paper and collectables from Kaisercraft and featuring in a kit from

"Funny Boy" Scrapbook Layout by Louise

Hi Scrap Friends

Today's share is a scrapbook page "Funny Boy"

I actually started this layout months ago and pushed it to the side for some other projects.
During a recent clean up, I found it and decided to finish it off.

I've used firstly the Old picket & bird fence
treated with "Steel" embossing powder.

The bird and Funny Boy word set were treated with "Sunshine" embossing powder.

Master C has a real dislike of birds but was able to hold a chick at our local show.
I just love the look on his face!

The background features Colour Blast paste in "Deep Water" and some simple black splatters.
To finish this page, I've added flowers, twine and stickers.

Thanks for visiting.

"Good Vibes" Scrapbook layout by Louise

Hi Crafters

Here is a new layout "Good Vibes"

I've used two chipboards for this layout.

The title is Good Vibes.
Which I've treated with Colour Blast embossing powder in "Royalty"

I've also used the
Arrow Circle Frame.

First I've given it a coat of white gesso, followed by two coats of Colour Blast embossing powder in "Bling"
Tip - The lighter embossing powders have a better colour if you use the white gesso on the chipboard first.

Some other elements on this page include Colour Blast paste in 'Royalty" and Kaisercraft "Lilac Whisper" collection.

I'm my harshest critic so if I manage to get a nice photo of myself - I like to create a page with it.

Photos of me are a good excuse to make feminine floral pages.

"Beautiful Girl" Scrapbook layout + process video

Hi Scrap Friends

I've got a new layout + process video to share - "Beautiful Girl"

I don't often think of myself as beautiful, so this layout is a reminder to myself (and hopefully you too) that we are all beautiful and to be kind to ourselves.

I'm really drawn to film strip at the moment so this
grabbed me right away.

I've also used the
as my title.

I've given the "Beautiful" a coat of embossing powder and the "GIRL" has a coat of gesso and coloured with Distress Crayon.

The background features Distress Oxide ink - so if you'd like to see it, you can check out this process video.

"Sparkle" scrapbook layout by Louise

Hi Scrap Friends

I'm sharing a new layout
"Sparkle"

I chose this fabulous chipboard from the
Shine, Sparkle, Happy collection.

This chipboard got a treatment of Nuvo embossing powder and while it was still warm, I curved the chipboard so it would bend around the top of the doily.

Other elements on this page include acrylic paint background and stamping and heat embossing with the same powder. Some small floral embellishments and black ink splatters to finish.

Thanks for visiting.

March Scraplift challenge by Louise - Scrapbook Layout "Be Yourself"

Hi Crafters

I've got a scraplift layout to share.

"Be Yourself"

This layout is a scraplift of Tanya's A2Z Scraplets page

This month on the A2Z Scraplets Facebook challenge group - your task is to scraplift a page from our blog.

Here is the facebook goup:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/A2ZScrapletsScrapbookandCardChallenges/

You don't need a blog, simply upload a photo of your page to the facebook page for a chance to win a chipboard prize pack.

I've used the "Be Yourself" title - available here

My cluster also features the tangled star.

Both have simply been treated with a coat of white embossing powder.

My favourite part of creating this page was that all the patterned papers came from my stash!
Thanks for the inspiration Tanya.

Looking forward to seeing all your creations.

Thanks for visiting.
Happy Scrapping.
