"I hope we catch a fish" Scrapbook layout by Louise

Hi Crafters

Here to share a new scrapbook layout "I hope we catch a fish"

The "Hope" word was all that was left from the "Dream word set" but I just couldn't work out how to use it. I started by covering it with black gesso.
Then I looked through my photo stash and came up with this one of Master C throwing a line.
I decided to turn the word "hope" into a longer title and used up some of my letters.

I left the layout quite simple with lots of paper tearing and layers.
The black star is a piece cut with my Silhouette Cameo.

I also used one of the "Nested Circles" and covered it with glitter - then added patterned paper behind it.

Items on this page are from the Cocoa Vanilla Studio 'Boys Rule" collection.

Thanks for visiting.

"Dream, Believe" scrapbook layout by Louise

Hi Crafters

My share is a new scrapbook layout "Dream Believe"

This page features the "Dream, Believe" chipboard.
I've left it raw and then sprayed it with the Colour Blast "Indigo" spray.
This has given it a more "Navy" feel rather than Indigo because of the raw chipboard.

I've also used the Swirly Frame chipboard.
Simply coated with white gesso and Colour Blast embossing powder "Snow White".

I've used the My Minds Eye "Blush" collection for this layout.
The background paper had a coat of clear gesso, then I added lots of splatters using different size brushes of Colour Blast shimmer spray in "Steel"

A little bit of background stamping, some journalling and stickers finish this layout nicely!

Thanks for visiting.

"Create your own dreams" Scrapbook Layout by Louise

Hi Crafters

Sharing a new layout "Create your own dreams"

I used the
and coated it with Colour Blast embossing Powder "Deep Water".

I've also included the Chicken wire frame.
I gave it a coat of gesso and then used Distress Ink "Blueprint Sketch" to roughly add some colour.
I've cut it up and used it in the background.

The background paper was a half started page that ended up in the reject draw.
I added Minc foil to tissue paper and then used gel medium to adhere the tissue paper to the white cardstock.
The background also features Colour Blast paste "Steel" and splatters of Colour Spray "Caribbean"

I have further embellished this page with Kaisercraft stickers and die cuts, a flair from Just Add Flair and snuck a Charms Creations tab in there too.

Thanks for visiting.

Guest Designer with us today is ......

.............. Yvette McDonald.

Yvette entered one of our challenges and as the winner received a parcel of Scraplets and a guest position on our Design Team. I am thrilled to say she accepted with great excitement and has sent us some fabulous pages to share with you.

This is Yvette's first page.

She has used the Dream Like There's No Tomorrow title and ingeniously cut it apart to suit her project. Yvette has also used Frame 17 to border her photo.

Many thanks to Yvette for sharing her beautiful page and we look forward to more over the coming month.

Until next time

Bon Voyage! By the time you read this I hope to be relaxing with my feet up. Although I am getting in early on my travel pages for our holiday. A few years ago we decided to take the kids on a 'once in a lifetime' holiday. To date we haven't had more than a few days away at a time so plans were put into place, funds saved and the day has finally come. You can expect more pages of our experiences over the coming months but here is the first taste of what we're looking forward to - some rest :)

So for a tropical layout I've cut the first two words off the title and used a multicolored ink pad to color the Scraplet "You are a dream come true" and inked and heat embossed both this and the "Palm tree."

My next layout is of a dear friend and I one night at a Jazz concert where we met the lovely Lisa Williams who was performing. I've used a couple of the new Scraplets here - "Shabby Circles" and "Love This Life word set". Just using one of the circle pieces and the word love from the set. The Scraplets were again inked but then finished with a mist of gold shimmer Glimmermist.

My final page is of my two gorgeous grad-daughters. The photo is framed with a Scraplet frame which has been given dimension and texture with impasto. A couple of Scraplet flourishes have been finished the same way and tucked in under the flowers and bow.

The title was colored white and misted with a pearl glimmermist, leaving the heart in the centre to be colored to match the page and given a coat of sparkle dimensional magic.

A close up of the impasto finish on the frame.

Until next time, Happy Scrapping

Dt Inspiration with Caz

Hi Caz here today with a couple of shares that will hopefully inspire you.
First of all we have a layout I created with 2 of my daughters dance recital photos.
I just added texture paste to the Title word "Love" and then sprayed with some glimmer mist.

Some close ups.

I used the following scraplets
Next we have a layout I created of my beloved Bon Jovi from the concert we went to back in December 2013
Some close ups once again just adding some texture paste to the scraplets here and there to give them some definition and then some misting with various colours.

I used the following scraplets

I hope you have enjoyed what I have shared with you today. Now I am off to enjoy my birthday :)
Till next time
Happy Crafting
