Everyone at A2Z Scraplets would like to say thank you and farewell to Tracey today. Tracey leaves us for a break and we hope to see her back with us again. I'm sure you'll all agree her work is beautiful and she has shared many wonderful creations over her time here.

Love Layout – These circle words are amazing … they are my new found love…

I have painted this one in aqua and then used Smooch sparingly over it…

Chipboard and chalks .......

Tracey is with us on the blog today with a delightful page titled Vacation.

The birds, Cockies, are a cute Scraplet and when I received them I will have to be honest I was puzzled as to how I would decorate them – as they are super cute but still stumped my creativeness….

This little guy was given his color via my chalks and a little blending with cotton tips. I must say I am very happy with how he has turned out…

Life is pretty amazing

A2Z Scraplets is the sponsor of the month at  the Studio Challenges and so I made this page for the mood board challenge:

I found the Life is pretty Amazing so pretty I wanted to keep the raw chipboard finish but to make it pop out of the page I used a tiny bit of grey distress ink on the edges. Not enough fr it to show but enough for it to make a difference.

Supply:
Teresa Collins Memories collection (paper and decorations)
KaiserCraft stamp
Mask from Crafter's Workshop
Chip board from A2Z Scraplets used:

Memories ...........

Deb here with you today.

How do you sort your photos out to scrap them? I wander back and forth from the past to the present. I have so many to do that I guess I just choose what inspires me at the time.

The first page is one of a portrait of my youngest daughter. The photo was taken about 15 years ago and is fairly dominated by purple. I decided to run with the color and enhance it rather than try and make it passive.

I used two new scraplets on this page 'memories' from the Rustic Moments and Memories set and 'Flourish 105'. Memories is simple painted while the flourish has been given a covering of gesso, paint and pearl paint.

The next page is a simple, fun one of a day out with family Go Karting.

The title 'GoKart' has been painted and outlined with black pen.

 Until next time,
Happy Scrapping

New release Inspiration from Caz

Hi Caz here with you today with some new release inspiration. When I opened my DT Parcel I was wowed with all the goodies inside. I have 2 very different layouts to share with you today one very feminine and 1 masculine.

On my first layout I have used the Title word "Perfect" out of the Beautiful Amazing Brushwords set

I Ran the scraplet through my little X box Xyron sticker maker the wrong way so the front was sticky then I coated it in white velvet flock.

Some close ups of the details.

Products I used on this project were
Prima paper
Prima and Petaloo flowers and leaves
Texture paste
Lindy's stamp gang mists
Hedi swapp acetate shapes
Kaisercraft collectables
Doodlebug velvet flock
Kaisercraft pearls
Prima stencil
Crafters workshop stencil
Flair
A2z scraplets listed above.
I also recycled an old A2z circle from the middle of one of the 12x12 scraplets which I used under the photo.

Next we have the masculine layout using a few different scraplets.

Some close ups of the scraplets:

I just rubbed gesso with my fingertips over the scraplets on this page as I wanted it to be a little rough and grungy.

I have used the Steampunk 1 Large corner up in the right of the page. In the bottom left corner I used Chicken wire 1 Large corner. I also used The Little details from My story set of 5 pieces and last of all #saycheese from Hashtag Photo words set of 4 PL

Products I used were
Kaisercraft Patterned papers
Flair
string
Gesso
A2z scaplets listed above.

I hope you have enjoyed my projects today and are as wowed as me by the stunning new release scraplets available.
Till next time
Caz

Hello...

Well its been a while between posts...

Last weekend I was lucky enough to attend Camp Mojo in the Hunter Valley...so nice!!
While there I met some new scrappy friends but most of all I scrapped up a storm.
So over my next few posts, you will be lucky to see all my creations which I am pretty happy about.

My first share is this months sketch challenge set by Kerry.

I love leaving the rawness of the chipboard and just inking slightly to give a grungy look for my masculine layout.

Here are a couple of close ups:

My next creation is based on Anna's Craftcupboard Monthly Sketch.

You can use these Circle Frames as a whole or cut them as I have done for this particular layout to suit the sketch.

Here is a couple of close ups:

well I hope you have enjoyed my couple of creations. Do pop back to see more of my creations...can't wait to share!!

13 A2Z Scraplet techniques.....

Hi everyone, its Kerry here today to share with you some techniques to use on your A2Z scraplets. Do you have a pile of them and just dont know what to do with them or want to do something a bit different but dont know what to do??

Well read on and i hope to give you some inspiration to use up your A2Z Scraplets.

There is so much you can do with them, i done all these last week and even as i was taking their photos today i thought of another that i had to quickly do, and as im writing this im thinking of another i wish i had put in.......but will maybe do that one on my next post.

One of the first techniques to show you is to emboss them. Dry emboss anyway. Do you have a cuttlebug or something similiar like me sitting there collecting dust?? You can put your scraplets through it. Now you may need to use larger scraplet pieces for this and use a folder with a small pattern but i loved how it came out.
Imagine a swipe of ink or colour over this...

I really love this technique as you get two uses from the one piece. On some cardstock spray with your favouite spray over your scraplet...Your scraplet now has instant colour...

take it away and you have a gorgeous background starting on your page.....

One of the easiest and quickest ways i use scraplets is to give them a coat of paint. Using some paint dabbers make it so easy and no brush marks....

You can colour in your scraplets. I used a Faber Castell pitt pen....you could also use copic markers..

I love this quick and easy way as well. Swipe some creamy shimmery ink over them......

For this star i inked as well but gave it glossy finish with some dimensional magic......

I painted this star and when the paint dried i stamped over it...

Ahhhh some crackle paint. A bit longer technique because you have to wait for this to dry. But is very effective. I rubbed a bit of whit ink over it as well to give it a weathered look and make the cracks stand out...

Im so in love with this embossing powder. Just stamp your scraplet with versamark ink sprinkle some powder add heat and voila!!!

This was one of the first techniques i used when i started scrapping many moons ago. I covered it in paper. I covered the piece with glue stuck the paper on, cut the edges with a knife and inked the edges. I added a button to give it something extra.

One of my most used and fav is to use it as it is. They are really great on there own and stand out easily. I am currently working on this layout.

And one last one. Wrap some twine, wool or cotten around your scraplet......

Which one was your fav? Which one do you use the most?

Now i have all these pieces to use!!!

Thanks for stopping by and reading
Kerry xx
