Scrapbook Layout by Louise "Perfectly Normal"

Hi Crafters

I'm sharing a new layout "Perfectly Normal"

I've used the
picket fence and gate set
treated with a single layer of white embossing powder to give it an aged look.

Sprinkled around the page are also some of the
Stars and Hearts icons set
treated with gesso, Tim Holtz distress crayon and glitter embossing powder.

I've had this chippie in my stash for months.
I love it and there are so many uses for it, but I really struggled to do it justice.

In the end, I had started this layout and was creating the background layers, when I realised it needed some texture in the background.

I had this chippie sitting on the desk - waiting for inspiration to strike.
I was so pleased that it fit in so well and really adds dimension to the page.

Papers and elements on this page are from Shimelle "Little by Little" collection.
Also features Colour Blast paste in Sunshine.

Thanks for visiting.
Happy Scrapping.

Beautiful

Hey everyone!
I just love these photos of my kids when they were cute and
little with my mum. Lots of things I love about this page.
I love the size of the chipboard title and I love the P.S I Love
You paper range from Kaisercraft.

This Beautiful chipboard piece is the  perfect size for a statement
title. I have gessoed the chipboard and then embossed it 2 coats
of Lindys Hibiscus Rose Orange which is certainly more pink
than orange.

Tiger Cubs Australia Zoo by Judith Armstrong

Good morning and welcome to the weekend. Today I have some cute tiger cubs to share!

I used the A2Z Scraplets Australia Zoo GR title. I have to admit I cut off the crocodile as it didn't fit in with my theme. I embossed the title with 2 different copper embossing powders and intentionally left it looking unevenly embossed as I think it added more texture to the title.

To create my background I used a stone background stamp and a bronze ink. Over this I also used the A2Z Scraplets 6x6 Arrows 1 stencil and used a copper texture paste through it.

Thanks for looking and hope you have a great weekend!

Cheers

Judithxx

Hello....

Hellooo everyone...how has your year been so far??

We are preparing for exams again for our Yr12 girl and then next month she is off overseas with the school for a trip of a lifetime visiting Europe.

I have a couple of shares for you today..

Forever Banner Shape
Doodlet 05

Love is all you need

Hello A2Z Scraplet lovers.

Tanya here with another layout for you. This one has
involved lots of cutting and stitching.  A few of the
coloured panels were a bit bright and out there for me so
I have toned them down by cutting them out and replacing
them with red shades of plain and patterned paper.

I have hand stitched all around the white sun ray.  Lucky I find
stitching therapeutic. The chipboard I have used is the Doily Frame
and the Love is all you need  which is part of the January release.

Both pieces of chipboard have just been covered with several coats
of white paint.

Thanks for stopping by to take a look - Cheers Tanya x

LOVE THIS

Hello Mary here to share a layout using the fabulous A2Z Scraplets Chipboard

Love This

I have always loved this photo of my two boys when they were little , so the "Love This" chipboard piece is perfect for my title.

I have used the method of transferring Serviette tissue onto my layouts before, but never onto chipboard. I thought I would give it a try and I am pleased with the result. To create this I simply separated the layers of the serviette until I was left with the top layer. I then tore the serviette into pieces to have the colour and pattern I wanted to add onto my chipboard. I layered them onto the chipboard piece and adhered with modge podge , which acts as a glue and seals the serviette. I used a paint brush to do this and also to smooth around and over the edges. When it had dried I traced around the edge with a white gel pen to define the word.
To add a bit more interest to my page I added the Circle Hash Texture Shape . I  roughly covered this with Gesso , then I embossed in places with gold embossing powder, but leaving some areas . I painted the areas that were not embossed with twinlings H20's teal Zircon. Other areas I left just a touch of gesso showing.
I hope I have encouraged you to experiment with your chipboard pieces . There are no mistakes, only discoveries .
Until next time , happy creating
Mary x

Forever Young - Karen McLaughlin

Hi A2Z Scraplets Fans.  Karen here to show off this beautiful Floral Frame.  It comes with all these pretty little flowers which you could place as I have around the frame or you could place them back into the frame.  I have covered mine with white paint and then texture paste and then painted iridescent paint and decorated with flowers.  I have also used the wordlet Forever Young which I painted and then dimensional magic to give that glossy look.  Thanks for looking.

Scream by Judith Armstrong

Good morning and welcome to the weekend. Another hot and sunny one here in Victoria.

Today I'm sharing a fun page of my DD acting the fool at Adelaide Aviation Museum. I've had these photos for a while and I thought the title chipboard screamed at me to be used with these photos!!

I used the Scream piece out of A2Z Scraplets Eeeek! Arrgh! Scream Words  and painted it with gold metallic paint.

I also used the A2Z Scraplets Houndstooth Stencil and some gold texture paste to create my background.

I hope you get some time to create this weekend.

Thanks for looking
