"Proud Much" interactive scrapbook layout by Louise

Hi Crafters

Here to share a new scrapbook layout
"Proud Much"

I was lucky enough to head along to the Brisbane Scrapbook expo in June.
I took a class with Jenny Heaslip Scrapbooker
Jenny makes the most wonderful interactive pages.
I decided to go ahead and make one for this layout.

The front page folds back and reveals the journalling and a second photo.

I couldn't resist the Proud Much?!!!! Chipboard

At the Scrapbook expo I also picked up some of the new Colour Blast embossing powders, this one "Sparkling Sands" is just exactly like the name.

Other elements on this page are from the Kaisercraft Stargazer collection.

"Weekend Escape" Scrapbook Layout by Louise

Hi Crafters

Bringing you a new layout "Weekend Escape"

For this page I actually chose my chipboards first and then built the page around that.

Treated with black gesso.

Then these really great Camera Squares.
Which I've seperated and then covered with Colour Blast Embossing powder in "Envy" and Bling".

I'm really terrible at remembering to take photos of DH and I, but while we were away seeing the live show of Mrs Brown's Boys - I decided to snap a couple.

The background is so simple and all the items on the page come from my stash.

I just love how all the little cluster areas form interesting elements on the page.

"It's the little things" Christmas Scrapbook layout by Louise

Hi Crafters

I love a good Christmas collection and mostly scrap my Christmas photos in the new year.
So today I'm sharing a way to use chipboard on a Christmas page.

My layout "It's the little things"

This page uses the adorable

I've coloured it with Distress Crayons firstly in red to help it pop off the neutral Christmas page and then with gold accents on the smaller words.

The background features

- Kaisercraft "Christmas Edition"
- Texture paste
- Distress ink through a stencil
- Colour Blast Shimmer Spray "Bling"
- Collectables and die cuts
- sequins
- washi tape
- stamping

I created this on a diagonal with the photo highlighted in the centre.

It's a busy page, but not overpowering because of the neutral palette.
I love how the chipboard really pops off the background work and helps lift the photo.

Thanks for visiting.

"2017" A scrapbook layout by Louise

Hi Crafters

Today's share is a layout I've titled "2017"

is such a lovely chipboard piece but I didn't want to use it!

Eventually I decided to use it with this photo of DH and I.

I've treated it with a coat of gesso, followed by colouring with Distress Crayons.
Lastly, to seal the colour I've added a coat of Colour Blast "Snow White" to give it a little pop of sparkle.

I've cut the chippie diagonally and used it in two areas of the page.
Paper and collectables from Kaisercraft and featuring in a kit from

Scrapbook layout "Love" with Louise

Hi Crafters

I've got a new layout to share.

"Love"

I've titled this page "Love" and used the
which I've treated with Colour Blast embossing powder in "Envy"

Next, I've made two cluster areas using the Kaisercraft "Mint Wishes" collection.
Which is designed as a Christmas range but I've used it for a boys page.
It's filled with some lovely patterns and florals.

Lastly around my photo I've used the
Circles on circles frame.
For this chippie, I've added a coat of gesso, then coloured with different distress crayons and coated with clear embossing powder.

My background features more distress crayons and some stamping.

Thanks for visiting.

"All in the Details" Scrapbook Layout by Louise

Hi Crafters

Louise here.
Today I'm sharing a new layout with you

"All in the Details"

For this page I've chosen the
First I've added a coat of white acrylic paint.
I've then traced around the large "details" word and trimmed the paper accordingly.

Next was to choose some photos - I wanted some that would relate to the title.
Searching through my stash, I found this paper collection from Kaisercraft and simply started creating.

I love the simplicity of the page and how the chippie coordinates with the background.

"Extra Special" Scrapbook Layout by Louise for November challenge

Hi Scrap Friends

This page is inspired by our November challenge in the facebook group.

My layout "Extra Special"

This months inspiration is ... Great Outdoors, wide open spaces, river, water - however the image inspires you.

Image may contain: sky, cloud, mountain, outdoor, nature and water

Sometimes I start background details and end up with something great - like this page ...
sometimes I don't and I retire them to the Scrapbook Graveyard.

I adore this chipboard.
I've used the Extra Special Title.

Firstly giving it a coat of white gesso. Then colouring the "Extra" with Distress Crayon to achieve a beach kind of colour. Then the "Special" with Colour Blast Embossing Powder in "Singing the Blues"

Once I adhered to the page, I traced around the special with black pen to highlight it.

For the background I've combined Colour Blast Sprays "Bling", "Caribbean",  and "Road Base".
Spray it directly onto the page and let the colours run down the cardstock.

I then added some stamping and ink through a stencil.

Thanks for visiting.

"Shine" Scrapbook layout for September challenge with Louise

Hi Crafters

I'm sharing my take on this months challenge "Shine"

We'd like you to create a Christmas page without using traditional colours.
I chose mint & silver.

The chipboard pieces are
Shine word and Bec's Christmas tree shape

For the Shine word, I added first a coat of Colour Blast embossing powder in "Steel" and then a coat of "Snow White"

For the Christmas Tree, I added a coat of white gesso, then coloured with my Tim Holtz Distress Crayon, then added a coat of Colour Blast embossing powder in "Snow White" - for that little bit of sparkle.

I love how this layout has a definite Christmas feel (with that sweet photo) but there is no traditional colours.

We sure hope you can play along this month.

"Cute, Cheeky You" Scrapbook layout by Louise

Hi Crafters

This page is a super easy paper heavy page that doesn't feature any mixed media.

My layout "Cute, Cheeky, You"

I've used the
and given it a coat of Colour Blast embossing powder in "Envy"

Other elements on this page are from the Kaisercraft "Daydreamer" collection.

Lastly I've added some white and black splatters - leaving the elements to speak for themselves on this page.

Thanks for visiting.

"Good Vibes" Scrapbook layout by Louise

Hi Crafters

Here is a new layout "Good Vibes"

I've used two chipboards for this layout.

The title is Good Vibes.
Which I've treated with Colour Blast embossing powder in "Royalty"

I've also used the
Arrow Circle Frame.

First I've given it a coat of white gesso, followed by two coats of Colour Blast embossing powder in "Bling"
Tip - The lighter embossing powders have a better colour if you use the white gesso on the chipboard first.

Some other elements on this page include Colour Blast paste in 'Royalty" and Kaisercraft "Lilac Whisper" collection.

I'm my harshest critic so if I manage to get a nice photo of myself - I like to create a page with it.

Photos of me are a good excuse to make feminine floral pages.

Thanks for visiting.

"You & Me" July challenge inspiration scrapbook layout by Lousie

Hi Crafters

Here is my inspiration layout for the July challenge - "You & Me"

This month over in the challenge facebook page
we are playing along with this nautical themed moodboard.

Image may contain: one or more people, text and outdoor

For my layout I've used the
which I've covered with gesso and then used Tim Holtz distress crayons smudged over the top.

I've also dug up an old photo of Master Z and me at the beach.
I've also used this
and covered it with white embossing powder.

To start this page, I collected some stash papers and elements.
I had no clear direction but love the clean, layered look that I ended up with.

Here's an example of a previous chippie prize pack... You could win just by playing along.
