New Designs released today ......

Woohoo, we've all been working hard here at A2Z Scraplets and I'd like to say a huge thank you to the DT girls - Belinda, Bel, Monica, Kylie, Petra, Tracey, Kerry and Carolyn. These wonderful ladies not only create stunning projects, showcasing their lives and family's memories but have been tremendous support during the changeover. They've also been the inspiration behind many designs (many are still on the drawing board) and I know you will enjoy seeing their upcoming work using the new designs.

For now you'll have to put up with one of my pages. A very simple one using the new 'a proud moment" somewhat tongue in cheek and the "bird on a barb wire".

Both chipboard pieces have simple been inked with the barb wire having a distressed look added.

Other elements used are Kaiser Basecoat papers, Paper Loft card and a ticket stamp. It's simple, inexpensive and states the events of the day.

You'll only find our new range of chipboards in your local scrapbook store or online shop. Ask them about getting them in for you.

Remember to go over and "Like" our facebook page A2Z Scraplets to go into the draw for a parcel of chipboards.

Happy Scrapping

Cherish layout share from DT member Caz

Hi
Caz here with you today to share a layout I have created of my trip to Queensland in December to see Bon Jovi and meet up with some very good friends. I am coming down with the flu so I just was not feeling the creating vibe when I created this and ended up throwing 2 pages in the bin. Anyway this is what I came up with to share with you today.

And some close ups.

I just rubbed some gesso and texture paste on the Title word to give it some oomph then a slight misting to match it to the page.

This is what product I used:

Thanks for stopping by. I look forward to sharing some inspiration with you soon

You & Me

I decided to make a mixed media background for this page. Starting off with some structure paste on the big 12x12 A2Z Scraplets shape giving me real big round structure shapes. I combined it with smaller dots in different shapes using a Prima mask and structure paste. on top of this I added a thin layer of Gesso. Then I used a Stencilette and more structure paste to make the big round swirl blobs. The You & Me Word scraplet I covered with gesso and then stamped and embossed.

I added some mist on the You & Me word and then I mounted everything exept the photo. I added mist in several colors and then I stamped with black to get some contrast to the page. I added the photo and finally some gesso to matt down the flowers and leaves.

I used this arrow stamp on the edges from the June kit and I just love the effect. I am planning to make it in several different sizes to play around with. Everything is possible when you have your own stampmaker.

Forever and Ever

Hi Belinda here today to show you my take on the awesome mood board challenge. If you have not entered you still have time AND there is an AWESOME prize up for grabs.

This is my first EVER layout from my (our) wedding. The photo was taken by Lata Photography.
As per normal for me I created my background using Washi Tape, Prima stamp and Gelatos

Forever & Ever is a new Scraplet and it went perfect with this layout. I have used Shimmerz and Hedi Swapp Spray on it.

Here I have used the 2 heart arrow (found HERE) and a new Scraplet 'heart map pointers' Again perfect for this layout. The pointer was painted in Shimmerz and the Arrow in Prima ink.

The 'Joined hearts' (found HERE) had Shimmerz painted on it and heat dried to give it a bumpy look.

Last is another heart pointer, inked in Prima ink

The mood board is:

I used the hearts and the pinks with the touch of Aqua.

Hope to see your entry soon!!!

Thanks for looking

Belinda :)

everyday staples

There are just some things a girl needs in her scrap stash. The usual things like scissors, tape, glue, your favourite color of paint... there are lots. The trick is which embellishments should you keep as a staple in your supplies. For me the 'must have' in the stash is the Scraplets - the Border Strip 08. They are so versatile and can finish off a page when you are looking for that 'one thing more'.

Here is one of my layouts that I have used the border on

I have left the chipboard untreated as it ties in with the colors in the background of the photo.

Why not pop on over to the shop and have a look at the range of borders that are available... truth be told I have a little collection of border strips that I like to keep on hand for layouts and cards...

have a great crafting week

Off the page DT inspiration with Caz

Hi
Caz here with you today to share a canvas I have been working on. Its packed with layers of texture paste and lovely stencilets and of course lots of yummy scraplets.
And some close ups. The Title word Dance was perfect for this canvas as the photo is from my daughters dance recital 2 years ago. I love the script titles.

The honeycomb scraplet is used below for some lovely texture.

A different view of the many dimensions of the canvas.
The stencilet I used in the top right and bottom left corners was perfect for this canvas I love the dimension and elegance it has added.
The products I used were:

And a couple of little extras that will be up in the store soon. I hope you have enjoyed my share today.
See you next time
