The beauty of Spring!

                                               Happy Saturday A2Z Fans!

One of the things I love about Spring is all the beautiful Wildflowers that bloom
along the road and in the fields!
Here's one of the pictures I took a couple years ago when we had a lot of rain so
therefore a lot more Wildflowers!  For the theme for my Layout I wanted the LO to look like you wee seeing a wildflower field through an old fence. I kept the back ground of my LO simple.
I just used a paper doily and misted it to use as a mask. For the fence I used some crackling accents and then added some ivory paint. I then added a touch of black to add some more color to the fence.
A close up is below!

Here's a close up, and I love how the crackling accents made the fence look old
after adding the paint!

Did you know that A2Z has a large selection of shaped chipboard and many themes?!
Here's the link where you can view many other shapes and themes that A2Z has to offer!

More A2Z Scraplets Kits Inspiration with Amy Prior

Hi everyone! I am so excited to be back sharing some more fabulous layouts using another A2Z Scraplets Kit! To purchase our new fabulous kits, simply head on over to the website here and take looksie. While you are there, why not stock up on your favourite or custom made scraplets at the same time. Did you know A2Z Scraplets makes masks/stencils now? Check them out here also. I had so much fun with this next kit check it out...

I have created 3 layouts using this kit and I still have enough goodies left over to pull together another layout to stay tuned!

Cherish

For this first layout, I have sprayed the background using the Gold Mist as well as the chipboard title, black die cut frame and the crinkle ribbon. I have then sprayed the Manilla tag with the Black SPray as well as the chipboard flourish. I have ripped pieces of the washi tape to create the corners and added sequins and pearls all over for the finishing touches. The pearls are actually placed on top of the sequins on the chipboard title and then I have doodled with a black marker to create the 3D effect.

 Sweet

For this next layout, I have cut myself a frame from one of the 12x12 patterned papers (I have kept the 11inch x 11inch centre to be used for another project) and then I have trimmed back some white cardstock and mounted on my frame. I distressed all the edges and have sewn to give this layout a shabby look. I have then sprayed the Gold Mist very lightly over the white cardstock and using the Broken Gate Mask. I am in love with this mask by the way! I also added a couple of tiny droplets of the Gold Spray and then began cutting my patterned paper to suit my layout. I have mounted all the distressed patterned paper pieces onto the brown cardstock (again only cutting frames out so I can use the centre pieces still). I have decided to sew with green thread here to go with the colours of the rest of the layout and I have mounted the photo onto both Olive & Brown Cardstock which were both in the kit.  I have then sprayed the Large White flower from the kit usins the Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine from the kit.

To decorate the Chipboard clock with gears, I have painted it with some crackle paint and then sprayed with various shades of brown mist from my personal stash, Other items that I have used from my personal stash include Feather, Some Flowers, Flourish with a Bling Vine, Pink Paislee word, Mesh and some extra pearls. You can definately create this layout without these extras for instance using another a2z scraplets chipboard word for the title and leaving out all the extra flowers just including the ones from the kit but alas I can never help myself when flowers are involved LOL. The final touch was adding some of the Gold mist using a paint brush to the ends of the flower petals.

Adorable...

This last layout, I have again sprayed one of the pieces of white cardstock with the broken gate mask and the Gold Spray but this time I have also added some Pink spray which was from my personal stash. I just sprayed the centre with the pink and the edges with the gold. I then decided to decorate the chipboard with these 2 colours also so I have sprayed the bottom of the chipboard title with the same pink spray and then the top with the Gold spray. Please note that this chipboard title and flowers were from my personal stash however this chipboard title is only $1 seriously so go add it to your order when you place your kit order!
I have used 1 of the doilies from the kit cut in half and I have then picked out my most subtle pale coloured pieces of patterned paper scraps that I had from the other layouts and after distressing the edges I have layered it all down and added my flowers. I am very happy with the result and of course I could not resist using some of the Pearls from the kit in my title.

Total extra products from my stash used to complete all 3 layouts include...
Adhesives
12 x flowers
Charms Creations Heart
Flourish with a Bling Vine
Manor House Creations Feather
A2Z Scraplets Chipboard Title Adorable
Crackle Paint
Brown Sprays Various Brands
Pink Primrose Heidi Swapp Color Shine
Distressing Tool
Prima Marketing Alpha
Pink Paislee Artisan Word

I hope you have liked my examples and don't forget to check out all the kits over on the A2Z Scraplets website here. Check back tomorrow for some more inspiration!

Until next time, happy scrapping!

A2Z Scraplets Kits!!!!!!

Hi everyone! I am so excited to have you all here because I have some very exciting news! A2Z Scraplets is trialling kits eeekkk yes kits and they are designed by yours truly so I hope you love them as much as I do.

Today I wanted to share with you 2 of the kits that I have designed for cardmaking. These are such amazing value and I have created 6 example cards with each kit but there is literally a tonne of product left over and I am certain I could make 6 more cards or more out of the leftover papers.
First up is the Cherish Cardmaking Kit...
and some closeups of the kit contents...
You can view the kits on the website HERE including lists of included products.

Here are my 6 cards that I whipped up using the A2Z Scraplets Cherish Kit.

I just adore these papers from Authentique and I knew they were going to be girlie cards straight away because that is what I love to do best :)

All these cards were created very very simply and quickly. With this first card, the first thing that I needed to do was paint the A2Z Scraplets Chipboard Flourish. I decided I wanted a really tiny crackle effect so I have added a literal thin smear of crackle paint over the entire piece and allowed it to dry, then I have sprayed some brown and green sprays over the top to finish it off. The rest was just strips of paper, lace and sequins.

For this next card, I have cut out some patterned paper and distressed all my edges including my kraft tag, I stamped some Pink paper with a stamp from my stash, framed it with the Die Cut frame and added some Pearls and a bow.

For this card, I have again simply cut out some layers of patterned paper and distressed the edges, stamped a sentiment from my stash then added some of the White Glitter Ribbon and a flower and pearl.

How cute is this card right? I cannot believe I have never used this scraplet before it is adorable!!! This gorgeous little teddy bear was sprayed with some Gesso Water to prime the surface, then painted with watercolour paints. To finish him off, I have sprayed some Perfect Pearls Mist over the top for some sparkle. I then folded the doily in half, added a strip of paper and ribbon and I thought I was finished but then I decided to add a rubon thank you down the bottom and added a couple of pearls too

For this card, I had a couple of scrap squares so I layered them together after inking the edges and then I wanted to add a sentiment so I have stamped the stitched frame onto pink paper and added 3 thank you rubons from my stash. The bow was the perfect finishing touch for this card.

This card was pretty cool to make. I have cut out the Pink patterned paper to the size of my card and then I have cut out the centre, turned it around to reveal the other side of the patterned paper and then distressed all the edges. Again I have added some scraps from the other cards that I have distressed and stamped with another sentiment from my stash.

This fabulous kit is full of fabulous masculine colours and can be viewed on the website here .
The kit includes so much paper that you will be left with enough to make more cards and even a layout if you wish.
Of course I have another 6 example cards for you of course and almost all of them have the masculine feel.

These cards were again so very simple and quick to create...

For this first card, I have sprayed the 2 chipboard flourishes with some Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Bronze & Mustard. I then ripped some of the patterned paper, added some of the ribbon and pearls and stuck the sticker onto another piece of paper to give it a border. I stuck the banner stick on with Scrap Dots to give it a 3D effect.

Again I have used one of the stickers for this card and again I have mounted it onto some other patterned paper but twice this time and I have distressed in between each layer. I have then simply stuck some ribbon down

This brown die cut threw me a little, I had an amazing idea and decided it wasn't going to work so I have created this very simple card that could be used for a male or female which is fun. For this one all I have done is cut the patterned paper to size, added my diecut shape, a sticker and then a circle of twine. Using some 3D scrap dots I have then attached the banner sticker which was mounted onto some Patterned Paper first.

How adorable is this sticker? Seriously had a nawwwww moment when I was making this one. Ok so for this card I have again just simply added some patterned paper, ribbon and then a sticker mounted onto patterned paper and a couple of pearls.

For this card I really wanted to use some of the chicken wire chipboard shape so I have cut it to size and taken a few hexagons out and then sprayed with some Heidi Swapp Mustard Color Shine. I then decided that I wanted to create a medal with ribbon out of this sticker and to finish it off, I have added some of the star sequins on top. Now these stars are tiny like super tiny! So to adhere them, I covered the entire sticker with a thin layer of pva glue using my finger, then added the stars while it was wet and it of course dries clear so yay.

This last card was the quickest literally. I had lots of scraps of paper in front of me and I had 2 squares sitting on top of each other in this pattern and instantly knew that was what the last card was going to look like. I then added a border at the top and the bottom between the layers of paper using the Tassle Ribbon. So fun.

I was so shocked by how quickly I created all these cards seriously some of them only took me 5 minutes to create. I cannot wait to see what you all do with these kits but you better be quick, stocks are extremely limited.

Until next time, happy scrapping!

A Moment In Time

Hello, I am here today to show you a layout I did for a challenge a little white ago. It was a sketch one.

Here is my layout:

This is my youngest daughter and me on her Naming Day

I have used a stencil from A2Z range with a some texture paste

The title scraplet was gessoed and painted black with Kaisercraft paint. Then I put a bit of paper under the 'in' to make that word pop a bit

The black heart I did the same as the title.

And there you go, a simple but effect way to use scraplets. Here is what they looked like:

(I just used the heart, the swirls I have used on another layout)

 And the stencil

Head HERE for the shop, remember anyone can buy from there!!!

Also don't forget this months challenge, you still have a few days to enter

Thanks for looking

"Treasure" share from Caz

Hello to our lovely crafty friends, Caz here with you again today to share a lovely Family layout I have created using the stunning script A2z title "Treasure".
I  coated the title with 2 coats of gesso and was going to distress it
but thought it fit in as is. What do you think?

A close up of the lovely script Title "Treasure" I have a weakness for the script titles they always look so elegant.

A few more close ups to share with you.

I hope you have enjoyed my share and it has inspired you into some crafty realm. Till next time. Have a blast crafting

Cherish Masking Fun with Amy Prior

Hi everyone! Amy Prior back today to share a fabulous layout with you all using the awesome A2Z Scraplets Stencilets and of course some fabulous Chipboard also. Did you know that A2Z Scraplets now sells Stencilets? Have you seen the variety and the price? Check them out here and WOW if you are someone who hates masks that leak easily then you definately have to try these bad boys. They are so thick and heavy which means less chance of ruining the pattern with smearing liquids etc.

This layout I have created using the Flourish 2 Stencilet which can be found here on the A2Z Scraplets website. I have used some uber thich modelling paste with the mask because I really wanted lots of fun texture for this background so I also have dried the modelling paste using my heat gun which allows it to bubble up even more. So much fun.

To finish off the background, I have  dribbled some Glimmer Mist in Rose Tea colour along the top of the page and allowed it to create this fun pin stripe effect of dribbles. To create the dribbles I have filled a medicine dropper with some glimmer mist and dropped along the top edge while holding the paper upright over my craft sheet. So much fun and a super cool effect.

The Chipboard piece that I have used is from the Border - Daisy Set of 2 and I have just sprayed one piece with some Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Teal before adding some Flourish with a Bling Pearls to the centres. I have also coloured in the centre of the Pink Paislee Artisan Word Cherish with a paint brush and the teal Color Shine.

The fabulous papers that I have used are from the Prima Marketing Firefly Collection and are a definate favourite of mine because of their amazing colours. I have also added a beautiful Shabby Resin bird from Prima alongside some Flourish with a Bling Flowers.

Well that is it from me today, check back tomorrow for some more inspiration from our uber talented Design Team.

Until next time, happy scrapping!

The 3rd new DT is........................

PETRA OFFRELL

My name is Petra Offrell (Pysselpetra at the web). I live in Malmö, Sweden, with my 3 kids {Alva, Teo  and Love }, 2 cats {Busan & Cosinus}, one dear husband and a passion for Scrapbooking, paper crafts, sewing, painting and well most crafty things you can do. At the moment however I spend most of my time Scrapbooking and have done so since I read about Scrapbooking in a magazine when my firstborn was just a baby.
I am mainly a layout maker but I also make cards and alter. I love to try new techniques and different media and I also like to challenge myself to try new things and styles. Mostly I scrap about my three kids, but occasionally I do BOM layouts as well. I love turquoise, brown, orange and lime but I find my self scrapping all kinds of colors.  Papers with well coordinated colors and beautiful patterns make my heart beat a little bit faster.  I stamp, I paint, I mist, I tear, I stitch, I cut and I punch.
My blog is found here: http://mittkreativakaos.blogspot.se/

I am proud to join the team and can't wait to get started!

And here are some of Petra's layouts:

So join us again for a BIG welcome to Petra and so can not wait to see what she creates for A2Z
