Grow and bloom

Hi fellow crafters,

Caz here with you today sharing a girly page of my daughter back some 5 years ago. Wow they grow so fast. That is why what we do documenting our lives is so important in the blink of a eye our children are all grown up and if we don't document it all it all becomes mere memories. Now back to the page I am sharing before I get lost.

To colour  the A2z Scraplet Grow & Bloom One word I simply sprayed it with KaiserCraft white mist and used 2 sheets of paper as a mask and the gave the middle of the scraplet a spray with  Lindy's stamp gang cotton candy mist.

A close up of the page because it is gorgeous and sunny today I seem to have caught plenty of shadows in the photo. You will notice under the photo I have layered 4 different types of paper and used a Martha Stewart punch to give the edges something a  little different.

 Products used were:

Papers: Kaisercraft various themes, My minds eye
Martha Stewart border punch
KaiserCraft and Prima flowers
KaiserCraft Rustic Harmony Collectibles
Bling
KaiserCraft White Mist
Lindy's stamp gang cotton candy mist

Till next time
Happy Crafting

Carefree

Hello everyone, its Kerry here today sharing a couple of layouts with you that I have done with the awesome A2Z Scraplets!!!

I'm sitting here sweltering tonight, waiting for the house to cool down. The cool change has come through but it is now still as. Doesn't look like a good night for sleeping, maybe I can get some scrapping in.

This first layout is of my daughter a couple of years ago, down in our back paddock.

I love these hearts so much and had been saving them just for the right project. You can find them here.

Taken at the same time these pics of my son. This layout was done for this months challenge. Have you entered yet?? Head over to the facebook page and find out more.

I painted triangles and outlined them in white pen. You can find the triangles here.

Thanks for stopping by and reading.
Kerry xx

Just The Way You Are

Good morning! I hope you're having a fabulous day and getting some time in your crafty room! Today I have a nice and simple layout to share with you.

I've used papers from a mixture of collections by Echo Park, fabric tape and some doodling.

The Just The Way You Are scraplet was embellished with Stampendous Shabby Green Embossing Enamel, and the Chain Link scraplets were inked with StazOn Dove Grey and outlined with a white gel pen.

Until next time, keep calm and craft on!

Loving Cards and Chipboard

Hello Everyone,

It is Lauren and Teddy up on the blog today with a couple of cards for you to have a look at and hopefully get some inspiration from.

So here they are:

The first is my usual shabby type card with a Paris theme, now who would not like to see Paris at some stage?

Viva modelling crème over Memory Box Stencil - Texture Splatter Spray, border and doily are Kaisercraft Dies - Lacy Border and Lacy Doily.  Butterfly is Memory Box Isabella Butterfly and Memory Box Pipi Butterfly.  Pearls are Kaisercraft Pearls.

Love, love in Paris, yes well this love is from A2Z Scraplets  Brush Words and has been decorated with black Tombow Pen and Glossy Accents

Love charms and decorated charms, I cannot take the credit for this one, it comes from Tracy at My2Angels.

The next card is a bit Clean and Simple for me, such a stretch not to cover up that white space.

These gorgeous Butterflies from Z2Z Scraplets  are called Maisie Butterflies Set of 3  and they are just gorgeous and so perfect for this card!!!  Stamp from Kaszazz.  The Butterflies have been done with Stampendous Embosssing Powder Shabby Blue (I love these shabby colours), which gives a thick melt with a hint of blue on white with gold speckles.  The edges have been touched with Viva Inka Gold in Aquamarine.

A close look at the finish on these butterflies.

Hope you like these, go on, do some creating now, and don't forget about the A2Z Challenge this month, and we are also having an Easter Weekend Challenge with loads of challenges and fun and games :) Something for everyone including the kidlets!!  Check it out https://www.facebook.com/events/1663115533951222/

See you next time xxxx

Cloud gazing

Hi everyone
Today I am sharing another of my creations which was
used to enter the Masters challenge at Scrapbooking Memories.
I have used an older A2Z chipboard piece, chicken wire border (which is so versatile)
I have cut it in 2 so I could also use it at the top of the page
to tie it altogether.
I have used some texture under my photo and various pieces
of gold embellies for some BLING

Thanks for stopping by and happy scrapping

Everyday Happy

Hello Scrappers!

Hoping you are all finding some time to get creative! I am back today to share a layout that I created using some fab chipboard from A2Z Scraplets! I had made the background for this layout months ago and wasn't sure what I was going to do with it but when I spied the Circle Texture Piece and the Everyday Happy words I suddenly knew what to do! Anyway here is the layout!

Everyday Happy describes these selfies that my son took of himself with my phone! None of the photos are great but they are still worth sharing the story of! I used the Circle Texture Piece to anchor and contain my journaling - super happy with how that turned out! I decorated the chipboard piece very simply with some black paint.  Here is a close up of the detail...

Here is a close up of the words...

All of this fabulous chipboard is available in store NOW! Why not check out the A2Z Scraplets website? There is so much to choose from you are sure to find what you are looking for!

Happy scrapping!

Katherine :-)

Today is a gift Challenge creation

Hi fellow crafters,

Caz here with you today sharing a page I made for our new Facebook group A2z Scraplets Papercraft challenges. The below picture was our inspiration. I went with the nautical theme and the stripes in the rug are in my BG paper. This challenge runs throughout March we would love to see lots of entries. Any or all of this picture can be your inspiration, whether it be the colours, design, theme, pennants, etc. The choice is yours! Please read the Challenge Rules if in doubt and happy creating!

And now for my take on the challenge:

I have simply given my A2z scraplet title a light dusting with embossing powder I wanted it a rough coat so some of the natural colour came through of the chipboard and I just gave it a quick zap with the heat gun.

As you can see the title is not coated all over with the embossing powder I wanted it to have that tarnished worn look.

Supplies used were:
Kaisercraft, Bo bunny Patterned paper
Kaisercraft Collectibles Coastal escape
Carolees creations bitty alphabets
Kaisercraft bitty alphabets
silver embossing powder
Embossing pad
Tim Holtz Vintage photo distress ink
Kaisercraft flowers
Random petals
Gauze
Charms

I hope you have enjoyed what I have shared with you today and we do hope you will join in on our challenges.
Till next time
Happy crafting

Challenge Page On Facebook

Oh Hello Everyone,

Well how lucky are you to have Lauren and Teddy up on the blog today??   What an exciting week it has been with the launch of our very first Facebook A2Z Papercraft Challenge, so today we thought we would show you the cards Teddy made to inspire you, it is after all an Inspiration Challenge for March.  This is the picture to give the inspiration.

Now doesn't that picture give you great ideas of boys and play and boats and sand and beaches and pennants and blue and stripes and so much more!!!

So here is the first thought, a lighthouse on the headland surrounded by crashing waves.

The background at the top is done with white ink in a Sizzix Embossing Folder from a due pack from Tim Holtz and I believe it is called rays, the bottom section is wax resist done with scrunched wax paper ironed onto glossy white cardstock and then inked with blue.  Hint: the more you scrunch, the smaller the pattern and more wax on your paper.

The gorgeous 18th Birthday Card Size Ebony from A2Z Scraplets came as is, coloured heavy card, so I left it as it was for this card.  The baker's twine is made by me (I love to save money using my stash items) and if you would like to know how to do it, here is a link to Pictorial Tutorial Making Twisted String.

The next inspiration came from the canvas of beach scene on the right hand wall, look at those gorgeous beach boxes on it.  So cute.

This one is a beach house using a Kaszazz Stamp coloured with Ranger Perfect Pearls (love using these to make shimmer paints, keep them in the palette and let them dry and they work the same as watercolour paints.

Birthday Boy is from the A2Z Scraplets - Birthday Set 1 Ebony and it is covered with a lovely thick coat of Ranger Glossy Accents, love this stuff because it keeps its dimension and dries so thick.

This next card is one Teddy has made several times, it is such a fun card and inspired by the blue teddy sitting on the cabin of the big boat toybox.

It is an uneven gatefold card and kept closed by those lovely turn mounts.  The Teddies are stamped in blue on vellum and then layered on navy then white.  Little paw prints are stamped randomly over the card front.

We are loving these A2Z Scraplets Arrow Words in the February Release, they are just gorgeous and there are so many to choose from with colours available too!!!  This one has been left the colour as is and coated with Ranger Glossy Accents.  (I need buckets of that stuff) :)

The last card is a masculine card (sometimes so hard for us to do) and it is inspired by the overall nautical and 'boaty' feel to the picture, and we turned it to a very 'aged' project.

This card has lots of DTP edging with Ranger Distress Ink Walnut Stain and the curled corners add to the overall 'old' look to the card.  Backgrounds are stamped with Lucy's Stamps Aged Cube and Rabbit Proof Fence (the text), edges torn or distressed, inked and curled.  The Happy Birthday is a Stamp-It Australia greeting.

Love the A2Z Scraplets Birthday Boy Set Cardinal and covered the birthday with Viva Crackling Colour Transparent very thickly as we find it really does give a great crackle.
The Anchor is die cut from a coke can, love to recycle things.

Hope you like these cards and find something in them you can take to call your own.

See you next time.... Lauren and Teddy
