"2017" A scrapbook layout by Louise

Hi Crafters

Today's share is a layout I've titled "2017"

is such a lovely chipboard piece but I didn't want to use it!

Eventually I decided to use it with this photo of DH and I.

I've treated it with a coat of gesso, followed by colouring with Distress Crayons.
Lastly, to seal the colour I've added a coat of Colour Blast "Snow White" to give it a little pop of sparkle.

I've cut the chippie diagonally and used it in two areas of the page.
Paper and collectables from Kaisercraft and featuring in a kit from

"Shine Bright" Scrapbook layout by Louise

Hi Crafters

My layout "Shine Bright"

I just adore this collection from Simple Stories.
I decided to team it in a simple paper based layout with the
Spotty Circles Set

Firstly I've given the chipboard a coat of black gesso.
Then with gel medium and a fine paint brush, I've painted the circles and sprinkled glitter over the top.
To finish, I've given the whole chipboard a coat of spray gloss sealer so that the glitter will hold.

I would normally use white cardstock background, so to challenge my creativity, I started with black cardstock and added some splatters in Colour Blast Shimmer Spray "Bling".

For something else a little interesting, before I attached the white & pink striped paper, I stitched it with black cotton. Then the outside of the black cardstock with white cotton. Giving a lovely two tone effect.

Thanks for visiting.

"Favorite Place" Scrapbook Layout by Louise

Hi Crafters

I'd like to share a new layout with you "Favorite Place"

This layout started with the brick circles.

I'd recently used Colour Blast sprays on a stencil and afterwards, I tipped the stencil over onto white cardstock and this is what was left.
I cut the card into these circles and used them for the background.

I've used the
Favorite Place word

First I gave it a coat of crackle paste.
When the crackle had dried, I used Colour Blast Spray in "Caribbean" and smudged Tim Holtz Distress Crayon into the crackle too.

I chose a plain paper background and hand drew the circles through a stencil - to continue with my circle theme!

I've also added a
Scribble Circle Frame
treated with black ink to help finish the page off.

Thanks for visiting.
Happy Scrapping.

"Cute Indeed" Scrapbook layout by Louise using the 12x12 Triangle background chipboard

Hi Crafters

Louise with you today. I've got a new layout to share.
"Cute Indeed"

I've used the 12x12 background triangles
which I loved straight away but really struggled to complete the layout.

I went with bright rainbow colours in the background and embellishments.
The chipboard is treated with gesso + Tim Holtz Distress Crayons and
then sponged roughly with texture paste.

My background paper received a coat of clear gesso
and then different mediums to create the rainbow effect.

Thanks for visiting.

Adventure Awaits!

Hi there, A2Zers! Over the Easter long weekend we at A2Z Scraplets hosted a cyber crop challenge on our facebook group here, and today I'm sharing one of the layouts I created for it.

This is the sketch we worked from...

And here is my layout inspired by the sketch.

I've used the Time Machine collection by Kaisercraft with lots of border punches, staples and distressing. The Texture Circles Scraplet was decorated with Stampendous Shabby Green Embossing Enamel.

Until next time, keep calm and craft on!

A Night To Remember!

Hi there A2Zers! Today I'm sharing a couple of layouts with you. The first one I created with a photo from Halloween!

I used a mixture of papers from the Kaisercraft Shine Bright collection and Close To My Heart Nevermore collection. The border was created with the Martha Stewart around the page spiderweb punch.

I used StazOn Pumpkin ink to colour the A Night To Remember and Chicken Mesh scraplets, then swiped over with StazOn Cotton White ink, and outlined with a white gel pen.

Next up is a layout I created for Australia Day!

I used papers from the Kaisercraft 2 Cool 4 School 12 inch paper pad and some Kaisercraft Epoxy Stickers.

The Australia scraplet was coated in white Derivan Matisse Acrylic Ink, dotted with red Derivan Matisse Acrylic Ink, and then outlined with a blue gel pen.

Thanks for looking, and remember always... Keep calm and craft on!

Dream catcher

Hello everyone. Kerry here to share some layouts with you today. How has all the back to school mornings going?? I am finding it good to get back into a routine.

I entered Scrapbooking Memories Masters challenge last year, of course didn't get in but here are 3 of my entries that had some gorgeous A2Z scraplets on them.

I painted this dream catcher and added to my layout for an awesome feature for my layout. You can find it here.

In this layout I used a frame in my layering. This is when my cat was a kitten and this week she had her own babies. So sweet.

I painted the frame white. You can find it here.

Here is my last layout. I have heat embossed this scraplet.

Thanks for stopping by and reading.
Kerry xx

You Are My Happy

Hi again!

Today I'm sharing a layout using the perfectly appropriate You Are My Happy scraplet. It was coloured with Derivan Matisse Red ink - this ink is freaking fabulous, it's permanent, vibrant, and it doesn't reactivate if you were to add another colour on top! (tutorial for this coming up soon). After the ink dried, I outlined the chippy with a white gel pen to make it pop.

This layout was inspired by a sketch over at Sketchy Boards Challenge, using the Hello My Name Is collection by Teresa Collins with blue cardstock.

This scraplet is perfect, he really IS my happy! And look how lovely and bright the red is!

And top it off with a button cluster!

***

Before I go, I'd like to share this layout (also inspired by a sketch at Sketchy Boards Challenge). The Cogs on the bottom left were inked with Pumpkin and Olive Staz On inks, the Cogs on the top left were wrapped in Washi tape to give a funky effect. Both were outlined with a white gel pen.

I hope you like them! And as always, keep calm and craft on!
