"Smile and be happy" Scrapbook Layout by Louise

Hi Scrap Friends

My layout "Smile & Be Happy"

I didn't really know what to do with this background paper.
It's so busy. I decided to give it a coat of clear gesso and then I painted the background with varying complimentary Kaisercraft mists.

I've used the

I've given it a coat of Nuvo glitter embossing powder.
Paper cluster, stitching and some black splatters finished this layout off.

Thanks for visiting.
Happy Scrapping.

"Cute Indeed" Scrapbook layout by Louise using the 12x12 Triangle background chipboard

Hi Crafters

Louise with you today. I've got a new layout to share.
"Cute Indeed"

I've used the 12x12 background triangles
which I loved straight away but really struggled to complete the layout.

I went with bright rainbow colours in the background and embellishments.
The chipboard is treated with gesso + Tim Holtz Distress Crayons and
then sponged roughly with texture paste.

My background paper received a coat of clear gesso
and then different mediums to create the rainbow effect.

Thanks for visiting.
Happy Scrapping.

Ink, paint, mist, embossing powders, dimensional magic .....

Chipboard would have to be my favorite scrapbooking embellishment. There are so many mediums that can be used to give them a brilliant finish.

My first page share is one where I've used the 'waste' piece from the "Shabby Circles" set (included in the pack) and one of our new wordlets "Love this life". Simply finished with a black paint for a matte frame and title on the page.

The next one is using an older title which suits the photo quite well. I've painted this one out to highlight the flame part of the title. The cogs from one of the cog sets have been inked and heat embossed using a couple of metallic and rustic powders.

Paints and mists were used to create the marbling finish on the star frame Scraplet. Sprayed while the paint is still damp allowed the mists to swirl and blend for individual look.

"It's the little things" title depicts my grandchildren were out 'looking' for the Smurfs at Easter. Thinking they were going to be rather small they were quite surprised when the finally found them and they were HUGE.

Until next time, happy scrapping *Deb*

New Release inspiration from Caz

Hi
Caz with you today to share some goodies that I have made from the April/may releases. I hope you like what you see. Both are Boy pages which is what I find most difficult I love working with feminine tizzy pages so its nice to see minimalist bright colours on my pages for a change. They are scraplets from the April/May release
This first page uses the "This is awesome" scraplet

And some close ups for you

I used this scraplet below, love how versatile it is. It could be used on so many different themed pages.

And my second page uses the Boys will be boys scraplet

And some close ups

Using the below scraplet.
Hope you have gained some inspiration
Till next time
