Diva(s) & Robots by Amy!

Hi everyone! Amy Prior here today to share some of my recent creations using Robots and Divas. LOL Yes I have 2 projects to share today however if there was a way for me to turn a robot into a diva, I would have surely figured it out by now.

Ok so first up I have a Boys Birthday Card I have made using papers from Imaginisce & WeR Memory Keepers as well and of course using a gorgeous Chipboard piece from A2Z Scraplets.

The Scraplets used on this card was from the Shapes - Robot 6 Collection of 4 and as you can see I have just used one on this card making the possibilities of card sets endless!

To create this effect on the Chipboard, I Have simply coated the chippie with a layer of Barn Door Red Distress Stain from Ranger followed by some Pewter Perfect Pearls Mist. After zapping that with my heat tool, it was dry enough to doodle around the edges subtly with my Sharpie.

I then wanted to add some dimension and cover up some of the Patterned Paper that was poking through. For dimension I have added some Tim Holtz Gears from his Ideaology Collections and to cover the poking papers I simply used some Stickles. Of course even a boys card can be full of Glitz and Glimmer right? I think I have pulled it off hehe.

The next project I have to share today is a layout about my two little Divas! My eldest started school this year and of course her first School Disco was a very exciting time but my girls love to be funky and this is what they both wanted to wear. I had been shopping and found these gorgeous little hats that said "Party Girl" on each so I bought them one each and they were over the moon! Of course my youngest could not join in the dance but there was a sausage sizzle on for the parents and of course my youngest danced her heart out while we all ate outside the School hall. LOL My 2 little Divas deserved a true Diva page for their outfit choices and I hope I hit the nail on the head with this mixed media masterpiece.

The fabulous Chippie goodies I used from A2Z Scraplets on this layout include Ngaire's Corner & Butterflies.

For the Diva title I have used some good ole fashioned Silver Leaf over the Chipboard. I just have imitation stuff and it looks fabulous! I added a bit of dimension by adding some Ranger Glossy Accents and I just love the epoxy look over the glimmering Silver. I also had this gorgeous crown in my charms stash that I adhered over the letter A with some Helmar 450 and this just topped it off perfectly! Of course the title had to have an S added as the layout was about both my girls together :) I am certain if I had of thought of it sooner, that Julie could have made me this exact same chipboard with an S on the end as her Custom Work and turn around time is amazing!!!

Lots of layers and textures were used on this layout including crochet trim, an onion bag, corrugated cardstock, Zipper Trim, Wire and some Black Gesso. Underneath it all you can see pieces of the amazing Ngaire's Corner peaking out from under the flower cluster.

Is a Diva layout complete without a touch of Bling? I think not and of course Flourish with a Bling was the first and only choice. Here again you can see a different angle also of where Ngaire's Corner is poking out subtly but highlighted thanks to the Glimmer Mist and Perfect Pearls Mist layers. The cool wrinkle effect in the Black Gesso was simply created, while it was drying, by dabbing some paper towel over the entire surface.

Other gorgeous elements including Prima flowers, Silver Doilies and Kaisercraft Transparencies helped bring this layout together as well as the fabulous Pink Glitter Cardstock from Teresa Collin's  Posh Collection. I had actually intended on using the entire Posh Collection of Patterned Papers for this layout, however I felt the background would look too busy with patterned paper layered over the top. I have also Embossed and Glimmer Misted a gorgeous Butterfly using the WOW Build a Butterfly Stamp Set and Whirly Pop Embossing Powder. The gorgeous little Chair Charm is from My2Angels.

And another angled close up showing more of that amazing glimmer and sparkle.
