I have a 4 year old daughter who goes through about 3 packets of clips a week because she puts them in and takes them out and just leaves them where ever she pleases. I got a little bit sick of having to keep buying more because I can't find them so after seeing this idea on Facebook (can't for the life of me remember what FB page though) I decided to give it a try.
This is a canvas, covered with some material and ribbons. Some of the ribbons are stuck down so they can't move and some of them are left so that clips can be clipped onto them. The "My Hair Clips" is handpainted, and the A2Z Scraplets Fairy is just so cute. My little girl has been eyeing off this fairy since I landed on the Design Team and I thought it would be the cutest little addition to this Hair Clip board.
I covered the fairy in white Gesso and then put glue on the stars and covered them with Blue glitter. I then covered the rest in a mix of Winter Frost & Blue glitter. I absolutely love how this has turned out and am pleased to report that as of today it is nice and full - more clips were bought today as a reward for getting her very long hair cut to shoulder length. I also decided to add some hooks to the bottom of it to hold her Headbands.
Next time you do some crafting - other then scrapbooking - don't forget that some A2Z Scraplets may be the perfect addition.
Don't forget to enter this months Colour Challenge for your chance to win some amazing prizes.
...Have a Great Day...

Sam, what a brilliant idea and a wonderful incentive for your daughter.....any girl would be delighted to have such a pretty place to store their hairclips:)
ReplyDeletemy daughter would like this but I have serious doubts the hair clips would be in place ever.
