Hi, Deb here on the blog today. Earlier this year I designed some Military Scraplets and have been able to use them on a couple of pages of our trip overseas. The first one is an area in Vietnam where a network of tunnels had been set up during the Vietnam War.
I have used a couple of men from the set 'Army Men', a arrow from 'Arrows x 3 Small' and a piece cut from 'Bamboo 1'.
'Bamboo 1' is a long piece and I cut a section of it to fit the page.
The Scraplets have been painted and once dry, I dabbed ink black paint around the edges to give them a more scruffy look.
I thought the 'Lest We Forget GR' title appropriate for this next layout. We visited the Australian (and Allies) cemetery in Thailand where the remains of many POW's who worked on the Burma Railway lie. It is an incredible and beautifully kept lawn cemetery, tended carefully by a group of Thais. This photo is the plot of the unnamed soldier.
The keep with the feel of the page, I lightly dabbed paint over the Scraplet and then using a darker charcoal/green ink, edged the chipboard to make it stand out a little more.
Until Next time,
Happy Scrapping
Deb
