A day at the Beach Canvas

                                       Greetings A2Z Fans!
We are celebrating Summer and schools being out here in the US!
One of my daughters favorite Summer activity is going to the beach!
This one was taken last year on vacation when we went to the Caribbean.
Did you know that A2Z Scraplets has many Beach themed chipboard words and shapes? Love the huge variety not to mention all of the many variety for Summer activities and vacation too! If your ever looking for a word or chipboard piece other than Summer or vacation I'm sure you will find it here at A2Z! I amazed at the huge variety the A2Z store has!
For the Beach word chipboard I added distress ink and then I added some gel medium with beads. Once this was dried I added some more distress ink in blue to add colors to the beads. They are white so you can change the color by what you add to the gel medium.
A close up of the Beach chipboard is below!
The canvas background I added some distress ink and water.
Then I added some paint drips using Glimmer glam glitter paint.
For the wooden chevron stripes I added some doodling using Pitt pens.

Here's the close up where you can see the tiny beads
             randomly on the chipboard.

SOCCER LAYOUT

Having 3 sporty sons means an abundance of SPORT photos for me to scrapbook. This awesome title from a2z inspired me to create this layout. I used the Fancy Pants Little Sport collection and especially liked the 'Soccer' sheet as it had an abundance of soccer balls of  various sizes that I could cut out and add to the layout.

I sponge painted the title first then cut out the small soccer balls, pasted them onto the title and finally coated with Dimensional Magic.

For the month of June 2013, Design Team member Tracey Thorne gave a really cool challenge

At least 2 Winter pictures on your page

Texture paste
A hint of red
And some recycled aluminium

Now maybe some of us found this a little too challenging or maybe we're all just flat out busy, but for whatever reason, there was only 5 entries. Lucky though that they are ALL stunning & meet ALL the criteria.

... Until Next Time ...

Scraplets and Twine

Today I want to show you how using Scraplets as a base you can make an unique embellishment. I used the rainbow Scraplet:

First up I put some cream card behind the rainbow and traced what I could of the clouds. When I lifted the Scraplet I drew in the missing bits. I then cut them out and inked around the edges.

With the rainbow I put strong glue on then put different coloured twine on. Once dried I then glued the clouds on where the clouds are on the Scraplet.

Here is what it looked like:

I used 8 different colours of twine.

Here is the whole layout:

I hope this gives you a different ideas when looking at your Scraplets.

Don't forget to enter this months quote Challenge, using the quote 'DAYS LIKE THIS' and that we are having a BLOG HOP starting on Saturday the 20th July. If you enter this months challenge AND do the hop you will get an extra entry into the main A2Z Prize.

See you soon

Belinda :)
