Cherish This

Good morning!!!
It's challenge time again and here is my layout inspired by the mood board.

Well lets just say this title drove me nuts a bit.
What should have been a really simple layout page took up lots of my time!
I really liked the chipboard piece I had which is actually titled Cherish This Boy!!! But of course it didn't suit the layout of my mum and daughter, so what do you do when it doesn't suit but you want to use it?? Yes you cut the boy part off the chipboard piece!!!I decided to colour the piece in blue but it was too dark and didn't suit my layout so - I painted it white white paint, pink paint - you name it I covered it but the blue still showed through!! agggh what to do now???

Luckily the wonderful good quality chipboard from A2Z Scraplets can with hold anything and I decided to peel the top layer of paint and chipboard off the chipboard piece and start again.
As you can see I then painted it in a new colour and then covered it with Crackle Accent to get it how I wanted it. A tiny part of the blue that I didn't peel off properly has come through but I don't mind it like that. I actually wished I had left a bit more of the blue to show through.

The circles were easy and made up for the trouble I had with the title.
The circles are Circles Nested Card Size and have been embossed in pink embossing powder.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you find the time to join in with our challenge.
Cheers Tanya x

Beautiful, Girl, Daughter - Karen McLaughlin

Hi A2Z Fans.  This is my example of this month's challenge.  I really hope you can join in the fun.  I have used this beautiful piece of chipboard called Paisley 37.  It is just gorgeous and fits so well around photos.  I have just painted it white and added some irridescent liquid to give it a sheen.  I have also used a wordlet which comes in a pack of these 3 words.  Perfect for this challenge.  Thank you for looking and hope to see your example for this month's challenge.

My Darling Girl by Judith Armstrong - DT Sample for June A2Z Scraplets Papercraft Challenge

Good morning everyone. Judith here to share my take on the June A2Z Scraplets Papercraft Challenge. This month the challenge is to scrap a special woman in your life using the colours navy, pink, yellow and baby blue.
The only woman left in my life is my daughter and I scrapped a photo from our recent Mother's Day photo shoot.

I used the new A2Z Scraplets title darling Girl which I inked with a navy distress ink.

I also used some mini clouds from an A2Z Scraplets icon set. I painted this using thick white paint to give them a textured surface.

Here's another recap of the challenge

You could win a goodie pack of A2Z Scraplets chipboard.

Further details can be found on the A2Z Scraplets Papercraft Challenge Facebook page here

 Thanks for looking

Judith xx

NEW CHALLENGE ~

Hello Mary here today to share with you our New Challenge for the month of June which is a gorgeous mood board

Told you it was gorgeous. So let's celebrate the special women in our life , we ask that you use at least one colour from the mood board in your layout.
I have created a page dedicated to my best friend of over 40 years ( that makes me old !)

I have used the "Twinkle" chipboard piece as I think the photo captures the mischievous side of our friendship

I embossed the Twinkle word with a Zing Glitter finish Blue. I also used the Staggered Stencil to add some texture to my page.
You can find these products along with so much more at the A2Z Shop
We would love to see you join the challenge and by doing so you will be in the  running to win a pack of chipboard , got to love that.
Just upload your entries to our facebook challenge page.
Happy Creating
Mary x
