Today i am going to be playing with the Nested Scallop Square frame and the Floralette Butterfly 09
Next step was to give the frame a little more depth by adding Adirondack Stream, Terra Cotta & Red Pepper Alcohol Inks.
I have applied this using the felt tool and have dabbed and swiped the color in various places.
I have added the frame to the layout over the Photo by adhering it to my layout using tape.
The Butterfly Floralette – There was a bit of a process in creating with this piece of chipboard. Firstly i undercoated the the chipboard with white and then using crayons i shaved the color onto the florettes.
With my heat gun I melted the crayon. This was the tricky bit as the crayon did come off the Scraplet while using the heat gun.... so it was time for a Plan B - Scrape the crayon straight onto the mat and then heat... then press the Scraplet into the melted crayon -- you have to be quick as it dries quite fast.
Once dry i scraped the crayon off as the colour was too dark and not the right tone for my layout - another Plan B was evolving here - this then left a nice texture on the chip board.
To this i then added pastels in similar colors to help conceal where i had taken off too much of the crayon. And the final touchjh was to add some silver Microbeads.
The butterfly i decided to stamp with the Kaisercraft bubble wrap stamp. I used the Staz On Timber stamp to do this. Vanilla Breeze Glimmer Mist was then added to give a little sparkle and Adirondack Copper mixative was the final touch on the body of the butterfly.
I hope you have enjoyed this little creation of mine
