Special Occasion Cards

Hello Everybody,

Lauren and Teddy up on the blog today and we are going to show you a couple of cards with mobs of flowers and are made especially for special occasions.

So these are the cards that I made just for you to get some inspiration from.  I hope you like them.

Ohhhhh...... This one is Teddy's favourite, a Cascading Z Fold Card we think, with a die cut lace border at the top (cut with Kaiser Lacey Borders) and all panels covered with patterned paper and some doilies.  The flat flowers, the tags and the sentiment come from packs of Kaiser Collectables, such fast embellishing with no effort.

I have added 3D roses and cherry blossoms (because I love them so much) and ribbon right across the bottom of the card.  All finished with flat back pearls and Ranger Ice Stickles.

Love the tags (dressed up with flowers and ribbons) and the sentiment piece from the Kaiser Collectables.  So easy, so quick.  No mess from stamping if you are not so confident too.

Oh and the second card is one I have been dreaming of for a long time and Deb created the Chipboard Sentiment for me, love it.

I have used a 5"x5" card base and cut a piece of Kaiser Paper Pad cut to size and torn top and bottom, then stitched around including tears.  This is then attached to the card and the tears are rolled open.  I have done a few stencil leaves over the base.  The three chipboard pieces, the Two Becomes One and the Vine Flourish (cut in half for the two corners) have been embossed with Stampendous Shabby White (love that stuff, so pretty), and then glued to the card.

Then I have rolled the tears more and filled the space with pearl beads of different sizes.  Added 3D roses and cherry blossoms to the chipboard swirl on the two corners.  The flowers are all touched with Ranger Ice Stickles.

This last photo gives a closer photo of the embossed flourish and the pearls in the paper tear as well as the Ice Stickles on the flowers.

Oh yes I love pretty, oh so pretty.

Hope you like today's effort and get some ideas from them.

Thanks Lauren

Love you

Hi everyone
Today I have a page of my hubby to share (for some reason I
don't have many scrapped pages of him-must do more!)
I made it nice and bright.

I have used a love heart piece from the Hello Love PL set
And the 'love you' title, both just painted black
so they would pop out from all the bright colours

Birthday card

Some time ago my dear friend had this fabulous Copacabana party. I enjoyed it so much. I made this card  for her and gave her together with some blankets for refugees bought via UNHCR and a very good top coat for her beautiful nails.
A good combo I think.

Forever and Always

Hi,

Caz here with you today. Sharing some design team inspiration. I hope all is well in your little neck of the woods and you are getting some craft time.

Today I have a page to share using the beautiful banner "Forever and always banner shape"

I also used one of the arrows "Precious" from Sweet love set of 4 arrows. To decorate the Precious banner I first painted it with Kaisercraft paint and then in a black pen went over the engraved words Precious. I then added the heart and then covered in Diamond glaze and gave a wee sprinkle on top of a soft pink glitter.

 Till next time.
Happy crafting

Remember This.

Hi everyone, its Kerry here today to share a step by step layout with you. I have included an A2Z Scraplet that you can find here.

If you would like to do this layout then read on.

1. Choose a sheet of patterend paper. Not one that has a lot of colours in it as the layout is busy enough. Apply some gesso down one side as shown.

2. Add some random pieces of washi tape. Cut some paper strips up in random sizes.

3. Stick down your paper strips leaving a gap where your photo will go.

4.Spray some colour spray onto some plastic.

5. Stamp the plastic randomly onto your layout. Repeat with another colour.

6. Splatter some black paint over your layout.

7. Add some yellow gelatos for a pop of colour.

8. Heat emboss your scraplet in your first colour.

9. Choose a second colour, random emboss parts.

10. Do some random stamping.
Add your photo and some random diecuts around the photo.

11. Stick on your scraplet and you are done.

Hope your weekend has been great so far and you enjoyed my post.
Kerry xx

Crayon Canvas

Hi there! So I've been seeing these canvases all over the place where people have melted crayons onto so I thought I'd give it a try. A little tip... keep a non-stick mat underneath your canvas while you're melting the crayons or else you'll end up with a HUGE MESS EVERYWHERE! If you can, just melt the tips of your crayons rather than the whole things. I went a little overboard and melted them ALL. Super fun, but super messy. Also, do this is a well ventilated area, the smell can get a bit overwhelming.
This is my first attempt at this and I can't wait to have another go, it's LOADS OF FUN!!!

I covered up the part I wanted underneath the umbrella and then glued all the crayons to the top of the canvas randomly after peeling the papers off. Probably why they melted fully instead of just the ends like you see in all the pictures on Pinterest hahahahaha. After melting, I peeled away the paper covering the spot where the Umbrella chippy was to go and glued it down, along with the Teddies. Then I added the Chevrons to the top. All of the chippies were just coloured with felt pens and outlined with a gold gel pen.

Have you tried making a Crayon Canvas? We'd love to see it, please feel free to post it to our facebook page!

Until next time, keep calm and craft on!

Cards with Dies and A2Z Scraplets

Hello Everybody,

It is Teddy (if you don't know Teddy, he is sidekick,  creative advisor and world renowned character, ask if you need more info on him) and Lauren here on the blog today for the A2Z Scraplet DT, how good is that? And you ask what has she got for us today?  Well a real treat I am hoping!!

So I made a card with some dies!!

Today it is a 5"x5" square card with a front panel embossed with a Sizzix Embossing Folder in a beautiful Paris theme.  The usual ribbon treatment and bow, (my trademark I am told).  I also cut a border and doily from Kaiser Dies, Lacey Border and the matching doily.  When I cut detail dies I use baking paper to make them easy to get the die cut out of the die.  I keep the die cut baking paper for other uses.  I have also used Memory Box Isabella Butterfly and Pippi Butterfly for the cute little butterfly at the top right of the cars.  Also  Memory Box Sketchy Rings and Memory Box Petal Party to make three of the flowers.  All pieces are lightly edged with ink before assembly for definition and depth.

Just a close up of the inking on the embossing and all pieces, the flowers and edges of the card itself.  To finish off all flowers have been touched with Ranger Ice Stickles Chrystal Ice, because I can and I like it.

A close up to show the layering effect of the pieces used on the card.  Also the textures given by layers, embossing and inking.

So after that, I made you another card, this one with a chippie piece on it.  Love chippies

Oh I love getting some Christmas Cards made early and the little trees from A2Z Scraplets are just perfect for quick card making.  Oh remember I told you that I keep the baking paper from the die cutting?  Well I have used that on here as a stencil, see it there on the middle to left of the card, where I have lightly inked??? How clever is that??  Makes it look like I have a doily right there on the card.

Now to how I have coloured the chippie tree.  It is such a pretty shape this one, I love it.  Christmas Tree 4  So easy to decorate too.  I have used Stampendous Embossing Powder Shabby Green.  This is brilliant embossing powder (EP), but you need to throw out the window some of the things you usually do with EP.... this stuff is filled with different sized textured bits, from embossing powder to glitter and you need to heat from UNDER the item, because otherwise you lose half the goodies.  I am still learning and making mistakes doing it, but it can be done.  I kept losing the green bits in it, so I topped up with Ranger Distress EP in Peeled Paint to get the rich green on the tree.

There it is in close up, that lovely doily image from the baking paper.  Oh and the pretty tree too of course.  Now don't forget that if I use something that I name that is not in the shop, then you can contact us to get it for you and I am sure our great leader will do the very best possible to do it for you!!

Well I have had great fun here today, thanks for having a look, hope you like what I have on offer today.

Hugs

Lauren

Something for the boys...

HI there and welcome to another week...

I have a couple of layouts of my son to share today.  For the first layout I have used the title "I {heart} you".  I have simply embossed the title with white embossing powder.  I have been enjoying the simpler, flatter layouts lately and am really happy with how this one turned out.  I have taken some inspiration from Tarrah McLean's scrapping style.

For my second layout, I have decided to enter into the Kraft + challenge.  I look each month at the challenges they have and just haven't had the time to enter.  But this month when I saw the triangles, I knew I'd have to give it a shot with these amazing A2Z Scraplet Triangles.

The "Boy" title on this layout is cut from Baby Boy title.  I will use the Baby part of the title some other time.  I simply coated all the chipboard on this layout with acrylic paints.  Very basic and quick!

Thank you so much for stopping by today.
Until next time, happy crafting.
